Hello everyone, since latest special offers in premium shop, I would like to hear your thoughts guys on Liberte and MB.

I am leaning more towards Liberte but im afraid that tank is a bit outdated and power-creeped. On the other hand MB seems to be doted with frontal weakspots and turret front is just not strong enough against even semi big pen. guns, not to mention serious high end TDs.

Now am I only seeing bad things in those tanks or they really are no go in the current meta?

Liberte is one of the OP Premium Tanks, MB isn't.
For me none of those 2 would work. Tier 8 Heavy Tanks are just cancer when you get Tier 10/9 MM most of the time. Your armor is useless but you pay with mobility for your useless armor. So I'd rather play something fast with hardly any armor, which is as good against Tier 10 as it is against Tier 6. (Lorrain

Both have frontal weakspots, the Liberté was seen as the lesser of two evils when it was introduced alongside the Paytriot because at least it's possible to pen it in return by shooting the cupola or the angled shoulders when it's side-scraping. The weakspots combined with the lack of mobility put me off the MB, especially when there's a better version in the regular tech tree, the VK 100. The VK might be nerfed in the future but right now I can't say I'm tempted to spend a fair sum on a compromised premium in the hope of it happening.

Without considering crew training, if I was looking to buy a premium for credit grinding I'd wait for the Patriot to appear again. It plays like a medium with the armour of a heavy, it's an excellent all-rounder tank.

An alternative that's also on offer is the VK 45.03. It's tier 7 so gets better match-making than the tier 8 options and was originally lined up to be a tier 8 tank, meaning it kept the tier 8 credit multiplier when it was moved down. I don't have one but the long 88mm is a good gun on its tier and those that have one seem to be generally positive about it.

VK45.03 is a bit good at VII, and probably better value than the MB. Gun is great, excellent view range, armour can work, good MM, and it prints credits like the old JT88.

I got the M4 49 a week ago, and haven't been particularly impressed with it - hull down it's very good... But how many times can you get hull down, without arty, without 9 & 10 TDs or YOLO autoloading lights to worry about?

Are you kidding me, this tank is not OP at all in fact in my view it is just mediocre, tbh any tank now in Tier 8 apart from the Lowe T34 and the Skorpion G i know I am just ex fodder for higher tiers, at least on some occasions with those tanks I can sometimes survive.

Only one true tier 8 now worth having that is new is the defender but that isn't going to happen soon, if ever. 440 alpha damage oh yes please.

Yes, and basically I would need the Defender fairly soon to sustain my Soviet HT lines.

I think most of us want the Defender back in the store, but given the amount of whining from some quarters, it's probably not going to happen.

I really hope they won't sell it anymore. Sadly, I have to agree with you, chances are it will be back sometime this year.

Yes really

Interesting.

The general vibe I'm getting is that it was a mistake to sell it in the first place and most people think it should never appear again.  At least until it has been power crept into obsolescence.

Don't worry I think they are working on the Defender 2.0 it will have 268 v4 armour, WT E100 auto loader and LT 100 speed and camo rating.

-Is it tier 8?

Then don´t. Easy.

They say Churchill 3 is damn good for russki HT crews so why not it ? Not a "RR watch not to drool keyboard and carry"-machine but if using crew training for excuse then I'd go for it.

I would consider buying full game for that price - money better spend and you will get more value for it

Comparing to WG full game price pixels

I haven't really liked it that much, but with a better trained crew I might give it another go.

That's a very good consideration too.

Well the value of things isn't just measured in money.
