People like this guy are a big part of the reason many players quit the game early on, they just aren't able to do anything, which is why I think there should be some sort of skill- or experience- based mm even in randoms, or even to go as far as to straight up don't allow more than 50 games per tier 2 and 3 tank? To protect the new players and get the game to a healthy population of new players instead of the toxic population we currently have.

they should certainly stop better players spamming gold in lower tiers.

How will players get better if they don't have to compete with people who are better than them?

the problem is a certain percentage wont bother trying to get better and will just quit. Thats bad for everyone not just WG.

Well, they do have the newbie protection bti of the MM, but yes, I personally do think the lower tiers could be made a bit more forgiving for new players.

EDIT

There is.

The mm tries to keep newbies away from experienced players.  Trouble is newbies will insist on rushing through the tiers, and it can only protect them so long.

Maybe they need a lot of stress relief? Low level, dirty stress relief? That example seems a bit excessive, but unless WG restrict the lower tiers by number of battles, which I have no problem with, I'm voting no. I like low level mayhem, like many other stress relief seeking players. So if I like a tank, I will continue to play it.

there should be a skill-based MM thread #648906875745382058792385092340589234852348095542398795874329802534089325487095324870953428790

Threads like these. Always wanting other players to stop doing something.

Isn't there a certain irony that someone with 11,000 games wants skilled players to stop beating him at low tier?

this thread is different to nearly all of the other whine threads, failing to do something about whats raised in here is detrimental to the future of the game. First rule of MMO games, `dont piss off the noobs so they quit`. Games that ignore that generally die, eventually.

Tell you what... Let WG worry about that.  You wind your neck in and let people play.

So, you're telling me, if I enjoy playing a low tier tank I'm not allowed to play it because I have 19k battles?

Frankly I think that the OP should concentrate on making his game better than below average & let other people play the game they way they feel like playing it.

And you can lose equally much if they limit it to 50 games on a tier 3 tank. Even more so if it's a tier III premium they payed real money for. As some nations can still only train tier X light tank crews in tier 2 and 3 premium lights. And is why I have so many games in my low tier prem lights. Some players have 40K games, but never go past tier 4. Some have 40K games, but 39K of those are tier 8 and above. And some only play tier 4 to 7 for the most part. Everyone has their tiers that they find the most fun. If you suddenly close the door locking that off for some. You can stand to lose as much if not more then what they "scare" off. Especially if they don't like high or mid tiers. Like some do.

Tho your image is probably an alt account. But still.

And tbh.. I doubt the low tier population would be healthy due to it if a majority of the players can't access it anymore. If anything it would spike the alt accounts again, not new players. As if the low tiers don't scare them off. The Defenders raping their tier 6 will.

The only issue I can see with low tiers is that the newbie protection doesn't appear to be working very well the last few weeks (if at all) . As far as restricting access to lower tiers, I'd say no - we're not all fascinated with a garage full of late 50s prototypes.

Thinking further about it, exactly how does getting your arse handed to you in low tiers, dissuade new players? You start playing a new game, do you expect to kick arse from the start, or do you expect to get owned? Do you expect there to be better players than yourself? I would think of course you do. Is this such a problem? Or do we need a safe area, where the tanks use paint shells to prepare people?
