Came across this "player" and another one just like it in a battle. It was top tier and did no damage getting farmed in the middle of live oaks. Had another "player" in the same game but that one was less extreme with only 3200 battles in the last 30 days. The owners seemed to care about the accounts a lot as the stats had been checked every single day (updated) on wot-life

Every tier up to tier 9 looked like this. Black or deep red. Except for some tier 1-2 tanks with 2-12k wn8

Magically the player learns to play not like a bot as soon as it reaches tier X. I wonder what that means...

I would say - there is no bot detection. I saw aim bots, cheats and they are still playing.

Report to support and check if the battlecount still rises afterwards.

You think you saw them, that's an important difference.

As this might be a consequence of the marathon (but not doing it "correctly" at tier 2 or 3), can I suggest you use wot labs time machine function to go back a year 3 months and see what their wn8 and other ratings were back then?

Report back and let us know please.

As Jigabachi says, raise a ticket with support, attach a replay if possible along with your screenshot from Wot-life. Make sure you describe the situation in a polite and reasoned manner, and ask - dont demand - if they would investigate and take action.

Its not ideal though is it, that players need to report obvious bots. Doing 0 dmg in 5 games should be enough of a flag to wg that something is amiss. They are quick enough to send warnings when people rage quit ( because that person actually is playing ) but they dont sort out none humans.

I saw a tiger II last night trying to shoot an enemy multiple times through a mountain on el halluf.

The account isn't even a year old and yet has 58k matches "played".

mmm 3 minute battles would be 120 days solid of  play in 311ish days.  3 minute battles is being generous.

For reference 8hr sleepers clock up 122 days every 365 days.

WG claims they track stats for everything for "balancing" - How does this kind of thing not raise flags, ring bells, launch automatic counter strike missiles?

Surely with the data sets they have collected over the years spotting a bad player vs bot should be a no brainer.

My guess is they simply don't care.  This is because this player (or players like them) doesn't negatively affect the game enough for people to be up in arms about and also, after they have done the botting to get whatever they want they might become a 'paying customer' or simply provide a target for other customers.

How do you recognise these cheats and aimbots, and how do you know you are not just getting tracked by whatever tank sis aiming at you?

Why do you all care so much if someone uses a shitty bot to grind through the ranks? If the bots were superior to human players, that would be an issue. But they absolutely suck.

aimbots and map/wall hacks are a problem. shitbots are not.

Every game is full of 400-600 wn8 players, no matter what tier. So i'm laughing at the random accounts pulled up.

because you get it on your team? Eventually as top tier? And those type of matches usually aren't very fun.

sure, it balances out in the end because the enemy team will also get it from time to time as top tier. But it doesn't help me if the bot manages to ruin someone else's fun too after he ruined mine.

Almost every single game I play there is at least one player, on either side, whose stats (w/r, number of games played, WN8) strongly point towards afk/bot behaviour. Undoubtedly, *some* people are caught, but the vast majority seems to slip through whatever failing bot detection WG failes to utilize properly. Reporting these 'players' has proven to be pointless. One is supposed to use the ever functional in game reporting system. Clearly, WG does *not* care enough to actively and effectively hunt down afk/bot 'players'.

It is annoying, but the sad truth is that the 49% player who is 'sniping' from A1 is about as useful as the bot hiding behind a big rock in a convenient blind spot.
