Players will be split into two teams, one team has to aid their "cargo" in reaching it's destination. The other has to try and prevent them. The roles will then be reversed and each team will play 2 rounds each way (4 rounds in total)

Green team (Attackers) objective:

Protect the "Cargo" at all costs. Ensure it reaches it's destination and the cargo must complete a base capture ALONE to win the game.

Red team (Defenders) objective:

Prevent the cargo from reaching its destination by destroying it before it reaches and completes the cap. (Time running out WILL count as a victory)

Rules:

Green team (Attackers)

  • "Cargo" shall be a tier VI super heavy O-I (driven by myself)
  • The rest of the green team shall drive tier II lights or mediums, which may only load HIGH EXPLOSIVE shells.
  • AUTOAIM ONLY
  • The cargo may NOT load any shells, or take any consumables.
  • "Cargo" must stick to the highlighted route on the Map

Red team (Defenders)

  • Must drive tier III light or medium tanks.
  • Only HIGH EXPLOSIVE shells to be loaded.
  • AUTOAIM ONLY.

The Map:

Prizes

The top 3 players from each team by average damage caused over the 4 rounds shall be organised into a table.

Credit Reserves have been kindly provided by Wargaming and will be +25% credits for 2 hours.

Place Prize
1st 10 Credit Reserves + 500 gold
2nd 10 Credit Reserves
3rd 5 Credit Reserves
4th 5 Credit Reserves
5th 5 Credit Reserves.

There will then be 3 random prize give-a-ways of 5 credit reserves to those who are viewing my live stream through out the event.

As normal, "CargoEvent" chat channel shall be created 1 hour prior to the event start time ***YOU MUST BE IN THE CHAT CHANNEL WHEN THE EVENT STARTS TO BE INVITED INTO THE EVENT***

My twitch stream (link in signature) will also be live through out, if you want to follow my twitch stream for a reminder when I go live for the event feel free to do so :)

Please note that the Dingers teamspeak will be used as a way for everyone to communicate thrugh the event. The two teams shall be split into seperate teamspeak rooms to allow for some form of tactical "surprise"

*****Disclaimer: These events are designed to be fun, they are a way for everyone to come together and have a good time. The prizes on offer have been provided in good faith by Wargaming, and myself, and it is my job to keep the event fair for everyone. Please note that cheating to win a prize will NOT be tolerated and if discovered you will be disqualified from recieving any prizes from this event*****

No. This will not do.

The Defenders should drive Defenders.

Tier 3 French mediums look to have the best hull armour against HE with a premium option being the Pz.Kpfw. S35 739 (f). The T-29 gift tank could also be a strong contender, nice punchy HE with 164 alpha should make short work of the tier 2 escorts.

As for the tier 2, it's a more open field. I'd be tempted to take my Vickers Type B because the pom-pom gun makes it look like Pingu but I suspect the strongest candidates for staying power will be French again. The R35 and D1 have thick armour, the Pz.Kpfw. 35H 735 (f) seems to be the premium choice.

The problem is that, while french have good armour, their HE rounds can't pen O-I due to the small caliber. It may be a tactical choice, but you will also have to protect your less armoured derp.

Take out all the tier 2s, pile up the tier 3s in front of the O-I to stop it moving, run the clock out.

Sounds like a fun event!

A few things:

  • The T3 defenders outgun the T2 attackers/escort. I suspect it might be rather easy to take out the attackers/escort and then keep resetting the O-I when it tries to cap - AFAIK you can reset a cap by hitting/destroying tracks.
  • Are the T2 tanks allowed to take artillery and TDs, since only the T3s are specified as LT/MT?
  • What kind of crew will the O-I feature? Mostly "concerned" with view range - though I guess that could be a balancing parameter as well.

As for tank recommendations, AT-1 and Ha-Go are likely the most effective choices for T2s.

Yep, a zero-damage crit on the tracks will reset the cap and is why I often carry a couple of HE shells in my lights.

I suspect it might be rather easy to take out the attackers/escort and then keep resetting the O-I when it tries to cap - AFAIK you can reset a cap by hitting/destroying tracks. They are outgunned, however the tier IIIs have to also take out the heavily armoured, high HP super heavy against which 95% of their shots will do nothing (evidenced in the Behemoth event with the Type 4 heavy vs tier VI tanks) most of them barely have a high enough caliber to turn a track yellow let alone destroy it (210 track health) They also have to use autoaim, so hitting the tracking shot is going to be difficult regardless.

  • Are the T2 tanks allowed to take artillery and TDs, since only the T3s are specified as LT/MT? A missed point by me, I shall correct this.

  • What kind of crew will the O-I feature? Mostly "concerned" with view range - though I guess that could be a balancing parameter as well. The OI will have a stock 50% crew and so will rely on the escorts for view range.

As for tank recommendations, AT-1 and Ha-Go are likely the most effective choices for T2s.

Hopefully answer your concerns Aikl. Anything else feel free to ask mate, hope you can join us :)
