So the new 430 tracks only have a better load limit, but the engine has the same weight. So it seems like there is absolutely no purpose to the t9 430 tracks right?

I don't think they do anything useful indeed.... Weird upgrade, as if they forgot to punch in some numbers.

Slightly better repair time and track health on the top tracks, nothing more:

Besides the track health. Just something for you to sink XP into if you want it elited, since it has no turret or gun upgrade even.

The Object 430 is one of the most lazy designs in this game, as you basically get the tank in elite configuration right from the get go. Neither the tracks nor the engine do much to improve the tank at all, which is rather boring. Its also a bit too strong, mainly due to the high amount of hitpoints, good camouflage, bouncy armour and excellent gun handling.

Yet it's not the only tank to do so. Nor the only tier 9 with more or less the same thing.

They basically took it from Tier 10, downgraded it still somewhat playable at Tier 10, and put at Tier 9. That's why it has greatest win ratio of tier 9

Would you rather spend crap load of free XP to get a good tank?

Perhaps terrain resistances are different?

Nobody says how slow and slugish it is compared to other mediums. Whine after whine

It still misses a lot of perfectly aimed shots.

EDIT: Checked in game Compare and Tanks gg.. neither spots any difference between the two tracks.

So from what I've read here and in other threads, I should grind the Object 430 before the Object 140 or T-62A. Thanks, all. :great:

Well the whole grind changed a lot now that you can get to it through T-44 instead of the PITA special A-44.

No, they aren't, only the tracks hp are better.

When grinding I had also the same question, traverse is the same, load limit doesn't matter because you can mount everything with the stock tracks, and terrain resistances (according to tanks.gg) are the same,

why is there an upgrade?

I can only assume it's for players like me, who like to upgrade everything before moving on to the next tank. You might scoff but I'll be the one laughing when I drive away with my tracks intact thanks to their 10 additional hp. It'll take 240 damage to detrack me with the upgraded tracks and that's not something you see on ... about every single tank it'll meet.

Wait, what?

I prefer to call it CDO because it's alphabetical and therefore neater.

You can't just make up acronyms because they suit you. If the letters still stand for the same words, I'm gonna have a seizure.

That's it, consider yourself reported for discrimination against my rights as a gender-fluid snowflake to refer to my MENTAL ANGUISH in whatever way helps me cope with the pain and suffering. It's a Compulsive Disorder (that happens to be) Obsessive and definitely not that I simply happen to like things being put away and think it's nice when the place looks tidy.
