Be interested in your feedback on this.
I quite like to gauge my performance by the progress (or otherwise) in the Battle Results table at the end of the game.  If I end the game ranked higher than my start position, I reckon I've done OK.

But .. I'm not really sure how the tanks are actually ranked to begin with.  I get that they are split by tier, but what determines their position within their tier .. i.e. what is the difference between a tank ranked 7th and a tank ranked 15th?

Progress can be measured by taking snap shots of performance i.e. of last week or yesterday and compared it to this week or today.

I assume you know this already.

What worries me is, that you have 32k+ matches and you have this question.

Did you just aquire this account on ebay ?

Edit:

It may also be that I do not understand your question at all!

You do realise that the team roster  is not "ranked" don't you?

They are simply split by tier, and grouped into types within their tier. Nothing more.

Not really sue what you think is going on there.

I don't think he understands it either...

@OP heres how I rate my performances.

  • Win and in top 5 for Xp and damage = good performance
  • Win and bottom 10 for XP and damage = bad game, should do better.
  • Lose and top 5 = Didn't do enough, carry harder
  • Lose and bottom 10 = My fault we lost. Terrible game.

Yeah, I know about snap shots.  I just like immediate feedback straight after a game.  The battle results table opens, and I can see, for example, that I ended up 3rd in the table, ranked by XP.

If I click the tank icon, the table is sorted into tank ranks.

If I started the game lower than I ended up, then ... I think that indicates a 'better then average' performance in that game.

I've been doing this for ages, but it just occurred to me that I don't really know how the 'rank by tanks' is derived.

No, if you click the tank icon they are organised into alphabetical order.

Why does it worry you?  It's none of your business and not relevant to the question.  Seems to me you just want to imply some sort of imagined superiority.

Install a mod that shows your ranking and maybe dealt dmg in comparison to others, i.e. XVM or other.

Other than that simply click on the table headers, like dmg dealt or XP earned and you will see your results.

Again are you trolling?

I also took me a while to get into things like "how is my own performance compared to others". This happen at around 5k matches. You are at 32k matches. This indeed makes me superior to you.

I got into it around 5k games too.  But I want to understand how something works.  And the fact that you apparently know the answer but are more interested in asserting your alleged superiority tells me ... you might be better at a computer game than me, but that doesn't make you superior.

AGAIN for the benefit of your reading comprehension.

Heres how the tanks are ordered in your picture.

Tier (VII,VI,), Type (Heavy, Medium, TD, Light, Arty), Alphabetical (ABC)

GET IT?

Thanks ... it matches what I do .. but doesn't answer the question - what determines the sequence of the tank list?

Sort by XP. That's generally the better overall indicator of how well you did.
