Wrong spawn in Westfield

Ok, this may be a vent thread, but has some gamplay basis feedback in it, so it worth being posted. 

 

I don't know if it's a bug or just RNG, but in both case a couple of linecode can solve the problem quickly.

Basically I'm quite tired to see my heavy tank spawned in the valley in westfield, where you basically are just a weight for the team because there is no way you can be effective for your team.

I tryed climbing back to the front, but require several minutes and usually means you get to the battle late, when your team is already dead or have breack througt.

I tryed to go to medium line, but again your too slow to keep up with meds or the open space doesn't allows you to push.

Why can't WG simply add a check and spawn on valley just tanks with 50km/h minimum top speed? Or make a selection of tanks that can spawn there, so you don't actually reduce one teams winning chance removing one of the heavy tanks from the battle from the beginning!

to be perfectly honest, i wish my heavy would spawn in the valley because when its on top and there are 3 arty its just a case of waiting to die.

The game is supposed to take tank type into account for spawns. What kind of match was this?

 

My guess would be that the game prefers to not have thirteen tanks spawn at the same place. Alternatively it's required to 'match' with the other team. Even that other tank game does the same thing at times.

There is no reason to spawn with any tank on the bottom of that hill. The only position that matters is the one on top.

This is the replay of the battle I got 10 minutes ago. Full of HTs on both sides, but there were better tanks than a KV-4, mirrored buy an E75 on enemy team, to spawn on valley, like the skorpion G.

Not the best of my game, but I didn't see anything usefull I could have done in this matchup...

Well, yes! I completely agree with you there, at least for what is my knowledge of the game I still can't find anything gamewinning on the South-West lane...

had this before in my Maus in full tier 10 with 3 arta.

 

Just went garage.

 

Issue is also on mines Encounter, Platoons always seem to spawn on the island side, even if a Maus is platooned with a leo 1 for example, they will both spawn there and have to cross making the maus an easy farm. Not sure if that ones been fixed as i havent platooned and got mines encounter for awhile

I haven't noticed this .... but it sounds very very stupid tbh. (i don't play slow tanks in general)

Just trying to imagine the 15v15 carnage that finishes every time in 2 minutes...

Yup, it's a horrible idea. I don't blame you, WG should revamp the useless part of the map.

It's a polish "translation"/abbreviation of the word "arty". The polish word is "artyleria" so there you go - "arta". Poles ( including me FYI ) have been using it for ages and it has caught up with the whole community

People in my old clan always used to call it arta, and most people still do here. Just sorta caught on even tho i myself am British

It happens because there is a limited number of spawning locations on top and if there are too many TDs and heavies it will just randomly spawn the rest down. Just adding some more spawn locations up top would be an easy fix, but yano, WG...

I absolutely hate when the game spawns me with light tanks and i am playing a super heavy, it takes at least 3 minutes to get into position in the top again...

 

its so stupid.

I would prefer if all tanks were spawned randomly on all maps would stop alot of the "must go here" thinking.

It's nearly the same in most languages.

 

German = Artillerie

French = Artillerie

Swedish = Artilleri

Italian = Artiglieria

Finnish = Tykistö

I don't mind people calling arty (the abbreviated form I learned playing tabletop war games in the UK) arta, it's a lot better than "tonks", which always makes me think whoever said it is less than 6 years old. :child:

That should only happen when all the heavy spawn points on top of the hill are full.  I've only seen it the other way though, when a light or medium spawns with the heavies.

 

How many heavies were in the team?
