Lol, I just posted something about exactly this. Guess that answers my question, and I'm not alone in this. Wish I knew how to contact them on this, but unfortunately I don't.

Because those spambods multiply quite fast... and because they don't seem to have a proper spamfilter.

This basically, and I wonder how many people bothered to actually report them to support.

They should just check the amount of messages sent out? Must be hundreds. At any rate a lot more then normal people would do since we usually talk with friends and only occasionally engage with strangers from red or green team.

Why are you telling someone advertising services which are against game rules to bring their spam to the forums?

And how do you suggest they do that? Those accounts don't last long, and then they just make a new one and start spamming instantly. I mean look at their nicks. It's one bash on the keyboard to get that nick.

Then again you telling them to go here is not helping either is it?

Because there's a market for it.

Players are just *that* bad these days.

It always was like that. There were always people who spent huge amounts of money on botted or stolen goods, because... ugh. No idea. Even after 20 years, I have no explanation except stereotypes about nolifers and people with too much money.

What cathegory do i fall in if i say i used to run a magicfinder bot in diablo 2?

It was an easy script, it made private solo games with encrypted passwords, rushed all the big bosses, only picked up valuable loot, rinse and repeat. I actually earned real money on it with minimal effort since it did all the grindwork while i handled the sales after school. Diablo2 was all about the items :D on one hand it was detestably immoral to bot, on the  other it hurt nobody and produced quite a few incredible items that would never have seen the light of day through normal play, and it allowed me to not have to take a student loan.

A friend of mine wanted to buy a GuildWars1 account for 200€ and got shafted. Even 10 years later I love to "remind" him how stupid that was. And he always gets as mad as in those days.

Aaaah... karma. Love it.
