Fix/Remove Arty or Buff Light Tanks HE Resistance.

Im sick to death of arty focusing my light tanks and nailing me on the move for 400+ damage MISS because WG thought it would be an amazing idea to increase there splash radius and add a stun which cripples light tanks mobility, the ONLY thing a LT has is mobility to survive and you buffed arty to cripple light armored tanks.

 

You said if arty wasent fixed you would remove it for god sakes. you just keep nailing light tanks coffin every arty change. what next? it misses you and kills your whole crew and there family but does no damage? fire your balance dapartment.

Equip spall liner if it bothers you so much.

Arty is fine. The only fix is needed resides at lower Tiers where being one-shot KO'd is still possible. And the M44: no reason to play other clickers there...

 

The problem in this case isn't SPGs: it's LTs.

 

As previously stated numerous times, enough to WG move and do something, Light Tanks are too slow.

 

The speed cap now is 60km/h, previously 70km/h.

Vehicles such as:

  • AMX ELC bis
  • M24 Chaffee
  • MT-25
  • VK 28.01
  • T-54 Light
  • M41
  • T49

 

Were negatively affected by the changes. I didn't mention the Ru 251, because, If memory serves, it is based off the KanJPz chassis, that has its current speed now.

 

If WG is unwilling to revert the changes, the least they could do is improve their speed.

 

Top speed is the reason why I would not recommend the T92, despite being historically accurate. It's not fun being chased around by Soviet Mediums and V4s that have enough pw/wt and speed to keep up.

 

Anything Chinese is pretty much forced to play as a Medium, and that's where SPG drivers will draw the line.

Its takes a bit of luck or skill, take your pick as to which one, to hit a fast LT on the move...

Todays LT commander no matter what XVM color think it is not worth it for SPG to aim at them.

From my experience at grinding FR SPG9 the last few days,  I can tell you there is nothing more satisfying than to hit them "pro" LT commanders when on the move.

To my surprise their moves are so predicable, because of straight lines and that kind of useless stuff.

I assume you are not much better.

As usual: Learn to play LT.

 

When LTing myself I notice this also quite alot.

But hey, when SPG is focusing me, they are for sure not focusing on my mates.

In this manner I do not mind them to do so.

And that extra credits for 1m splash is definately worth it.

I miss the cross team chat alot.

But at least we got players like you here in the form, that make it even more worth it.

Try NOT driving in a straight line and thus making it VERY easy for arty to lead you.

Yes, if you camp at 60kmh arty will hit you, but at 70kmh you have chance of not being "dug out" of your camping.

Arty prevents 60kmh camping.

 

New maps are so flat and you can arty-hit any part on any map, games are so campy like never before - just dare to leave shadow of the rock for a second and its gameover.

On city maps you can hit any street, every building has "Arty access" built in its a total mess.

 

I now play arty, dont care about game, just pick one sad sorry player and focus him until he rage-quits.... If you cant there are so many friendly tanks, and you can do friendly splash forever and you will never get blue.

Dirty Dirty Game, make it so dirty it destroys itself and maybe somebody will take notice...

3 arty in game? - go and drown... or flip or whatever, resist in any way possible, dont pay and dont play.

Best way to fix arty is to press delete.

Does it take so long to kill a tank with your SPG that you see the player exiting the battle before his tank is killed? And through the game client you know he rage quits too? Damn, there are some special things going on in your battles...

It's not the speed of LTs, it's the player (T5/T6ish).

I think it's a bit of both (combined with the outlook of the particular LT player). The skill comes first (to judge the future path of the LT); luck and the LT player's outlook come next.

 If you're constantly getting nailed by arty on the move then the problem isn't with arty it's with your driving.

Obviously. If a player in a light tank stands still, he deserves to be shotdown by arty.

 

With the old SPGs, I one shotted an ELC bis that went unspotted. If you stand still in a LT, you are asking for it.
