When your graphics card can't even anymore...

It normally doesn't do this..

Anyone got more potato graphics than these?

Makes it a little tough to kemp bush if you don't know what kind of bush you're kemping.

Making the single worst stock grind in the game (Sturer Emil) even more painful... 30k to go for the big gun...

Saving up for a better potato PC, might take me another 2-3 months...

For the interested:

4GB DDR3 RAM @ 400mhz

Did try Encore on my old laptop with Intel HD graphics...

Looked like WoT was running on a Megadrive...

Its time to break open the piggy bank.

I think you're among the most potato I've seen; this might just beat the guy with HD3000 integrated graphics on his laptop. That doesn't work too well either. HD4000, however, runs fine on low graphics, i.e. there's nothing that hampers your ability to play the game. If you live in a part of Europe with really dull weather, you likely won't mind the lack of lighting effects.

While system requirements were supposed to stay the same, I reckon there are certain issues with running modern game engines on 'ancient' low-mid end hardware. The HD3000 is a 2011 low-end card. Your 8600GT is a 2007 mid-range card. Wargaming made some promises, but they can't perform miracles. This might even be kind of driver-related - the last driver issued for Windows 7 is from 2016.

The good news is that a computer that can play WoT won't cost you much at all. It doesn't have high system requirements at all. Even simply upgrading the graphics card might help - a really cheap/used one might be enough to get you by for a few more years of WoT.

I actually had a pretty decent gaming laptop from 2016 that would've run this fine.

House got burgled, laptop gone, insurance is refusing to pay out because there are no signs of breaking in...

So I got this for 15 Euros including a Packard Ball 24"screen at a thrift shop just so I had something.

It would help for a start to remove all the mods you have running. Does great things for fps. Certainly XVM is a big fps dropper.

Tbh it's about time to upgrade a rig like that no matter what WG or any other company doing an engine swap like that claims. Those potatoes were already running at maximum power with minimalistic settings.

If you have a bad PSU buy a GT1030.if you have a decent one, even an ancient HD 7770 for 30 euros used can do the job.My htpc has a 7770 and it can play wot at 1080p,advanced,low-med with maximum for the draw distanse and the other setting about objects detail at distance.60fps with some drops to 45-50,i run wot tweaker to disable clouds & tree motion(SD client).Cpu has a little better single core performance but not a lot.

I have a spare 8600 in my "To go" box.

You know. If you want to run two of them.

Edit: a 9600GT too, which would be an upgrade

Edit#2: wait a second, ddr3 with that chip? And @400mhz?

Removing those mods should be your first action, XVM is a big fps killer. Next thing you should do is seriously upgrade to something that isn't 10+ years old, even the most entry level hardware can run WoT at 60+ on low settings nowadays. I don't even get how even a browser could run properly on that kind of a system.

Ah. Speccy halves it. Because reasons.

It's actually 800Mhz DDR3.

Which is the lowest it can go... DDR2 went (officially) up to 800Mhz

It's a rare combination. That's all really.

Lol yeah I have ATI Radeon HD4200 and yes on everything low it works the same as before 1.0. I.e. no black graphics blocks, no lags, no 5 minute battle loading, no sound issues (except sometimes no hit sound)...

It's in the D. Double Data rate. Technically, the clock speed is 400 MHz and the data rate 800 MT/s. So Speccy doesn't halve it, it simply shows the actual I/O bus clock speed rather than data rate as is more common.

I tried wot today at work on a customer's laptop

I was customizing...

Lenovo E480 with i7-8550U and Ati RX 550 graphics (2GB)

an M2 SSD - 256 GB and added another sata one with 500ish GB,

added a 16 GB Ram module to the already present 8 GB

and wot was running in 1080p with everything set to maximum with 40-70 fps.

the cooling system was running at maximum too. :)

Sorry, but there are only two real options for you:

1) upgrade

2) play 10 year old games (2007 was IMO the last year of good shooters, before genre got infested with different forms of cancer)

Your computer is about 11 years old, and is simply too outdated, there's nothing you can really do.

Depends on motherboard extension slots. I think 8X00 was last series available with AGP. If this computer has AGP instead of PCIe, there's nothing that can be done.
