Dear WG,

I am writing, because in CW you need only few tanks to be on top level. (usually IS-7, Obj.268-4, Obj.140, B-C etc.)

How it comes that rest tier10 are more or less useless for CW

Any comments from player side?

Thank You!

Because in CW tanks are selected for the chosen tactic, rather than selecting the tactic based on the chosen tanks like you do in randoms. So you pick the tanks that offer the best mix of firepower, armor and mobility for the task at hand. Most TDs for example don't fit that description due to lack of turret, mobility, reliable armor and DPM, their alpha advantage is rather useless in comparison. E100 is generally too slow for offensive and lacking durability for defensive tasks (compared to Maus or Type 5). Doesn't mean they're completely useless, but not the first choice generally.

Some tanks will always be better than others at certain tasks, that's impossible to avoid.

Also the list of CW capable tanks isn't that small actually compared to a couple years ago. You have Type, S-Conq, Maus, Wz5A, 113, E3, Strv, 140, 430U, 268v4, BC, T100, IS-7, GWE, CGC, T57, Patton and TVP that are more or less picked on a regular basis (some more often than others depending on map and tactic).

Never been in Clan Wars, but then for the average player tier 10 is like trying to get to heaven:mellow: The grind is just way too long.

CW at tier 10 is so much about min-maxing. There is no way every tier 10 tank can be viable.

For example, 430U, Obj140 and 907 are used from Russian meds but that doesn't mean T62A is a bad tank. It's quite good, but the others are still better.

I'm average and I have 31 Tier X vehicles.

The requirements are also different. In CW a min-maxed vehicle can be effective because you can trust the rest of your team to do their jobs. In a random battle it's better to have something more general purpose.

In clan wars, the most important factor is player skill.  I believe that if FAME would be limited to playing Tier 9 tanks against say a clan ranked 200-250 with T10 tanks, that the result would be FAME wins.

Having said that, every class of tank has the stronkest tanku.

WZ1115A is the choice for an open map HT in which rotation is probably going to happen, IS7 would be 2nd choice, 113 3rd, Obj260 4th.

For Auto Loader HT's, 50B 1st, T57 2nd, and Kranvagn 3rd unless it is a map with a lot of hull down spots, then maybe Kranvagn is taken.  Even then very few choose these 3 to begin with.

Type 5 is king now, because point click and you more deadly then arty, with 3k HP for the Super HT scene.  Maus 2nd, and E100 which was once the king is dead, long live the king.

Super Conquerer is the best HT for campy tactics and maps with hull down opportunity.

MT's.

907.

140, 430U..............

M48.

LT:

Bat Chat, T100, 13-105.

TD:

Obj268v4, and the infestation is only gonna get much worse.  And in 1 year, after WG collects enough data, they may nerf it to hell, and then after another year, remove it.

E3, and in some minor cases (in which you know opposition goes very light, FV183). Strv103B (in very specific maps with open fields of fire.

SPG:

GC is king, T92/GWe100.
