Was wondering if it could be a good idea to switch personal reserves from time based to game based, for people - like me - who can only play for 1h every day or maybe 30 minutes in the morning and another 30 in the evening turning on personal reserves seems a waste, and I keep piling them up unused: I know it's more a psychological factor as using them partially should be better than never using them but it would be better if instead of two hours the boost lasts for say 10 games? Should not be a big impact on people who can spend a lot of time in the game unless you're having very short matches and makes the usage of personal reserves a bit more relaxing ...

This would be much more comfortable for the player... so highly unlikely, no? :unsure:

 

I would also appreciate a "per battle" counter.

If you aren't using them because you think you are wasting them then you are already wasting them because you aren't using them.

This philosophy turns a 2 hour PR into a 20 minute PR.

 

I have ~300 PRs and I use them whenever I know I can use them for the whole time.

 

Most nights I come on at 7:30 ish.  No point in starting PRs as at 8ish my clan does CWs or SHs for 60-100 minutes and PRs don't work in those modes.

When we finish at 9:30-10:30 a 2 hour PR (when I'm tired and/or drunk) would just be a waste.

 

I typically use them 3 or 4 times at weekends (using 6-10 PRs on average) plus another 3-6 during the week.

 

It's just a shame that I can't use them during the majority of my game time.

 

5-10 games (rather than 1 hour) would be much better.  It's the way the camo now works.

They changed the credit-camo to game count based. So there is hope.

Going with the latest trend, let me point to an optional solution already available in a very similar product of the same company: signal flags in World of Warships. And they even sell flag packs to improve experience and credits income in the shop.

I would like them to be battle based though its a simple change and would be a welcome one. I have so many now I just turn them on regardless

Well they did that change with the camo, it used to be timed , now it is for 100 battles. So ,there is hope.

This is one of those "you cant please everyone" type things


I personally prefer the time based method as if WG did implement the "game based" you just KNOW it would give you far less games than you can cram into the time


With time based if you die early you can jump straight into another tank, so when grinding dreadful stock tanks I can cram quite a few games into a two hour period, whereas WG would be likely to say "hmm" 15 minutes per game, so that's 8 games in two hours" when on a bad day when grinding a crap stock tank or when the MM consistently goes against you 20 games in 2 hours isn't impossible, perhaps even more

Same applies when games only last 5 minutes or less, that's 20 games in 2 hours too even if you are alive till the end

So personally I prefer them the way they are HOWEVER, the "best" option and therefore the one WG will NEVER implement would be to let people choose how to activate them and give a choice of ether x amount of games OR just the time slot approach to suit everyone

Because just having one or the other will always favour some people and mean others lose out

And unless you got at least 25 games for the equivalent of a 2 hour booster I wouldn't want it to change to allow for the current travesty they call the MM system

Which players?

Some it would suit, others it wouldn't.


So either option would be good for "some" players but bad for "some" others, neither option would be ideal for everyone

As with the OP you are viewing it from a singular paradigm and assuming that because "you" like something everyone else must SURELY think exactly as you do, they DONT

Again with the ships you use signal flags which are for that one battle.  1.5 x XP; 1.5 x crew XP ; 20% extra credits etc.

I don't see why that's a problem. I've got 450+ of the things and literally can't use them up faster than WG keeps dumping buckets of them on me.

dont disagree to the premise - but as someone else said, that would make a more pleasant gaming experience, so it wont happen :-)

 

My problem with them is that as soon as i enable them, i begin a losing streak :-)

Same to me, but that is because I only activate them when I can use them fully (or almost) i.e. during the weekend when random battle is referring to the outcome.

Credit boosters too? That's what I really would like to use to the fullest...

Yep, got 58 of them for a total of 113hrs worth of +50% Credits. WG keep throwing them at me.
