Would be nice, but don't forget WG's version of events is that only Germany and Russia fought in WW2.

Events like that are usually region specific. Just line NA are the only one to do memorial day. SEA has this event with their Aussie server.

now that they introduce italian tanks they can put some extra special. Don't know, a t7 combat car bundled with 60 personal reserves for few hundreds euros.

i remember doing a battlefield tour to (sheesh i can't recall the name now) where lots of ANZECs took part in the massacre due to crappy command decisions and the weather. Most expensive village ever????? what a waste

Ypres - phew thought it might all of been a waste of time - but no i can still recall it

edit 2: i also called it "pres" for about 2 months after i heard of it too :(

Celebrating something that 9 out of 10 players on this server would need to google first. Hmmm... not sure if that makes sense.

Personally I think raising awareness of how many ‘British’ troops weren’t at all is a good idea.

It commemorates the ANZAC actions in WW1. The Dardanelles/Gallipoli disaster and Westen Front offensives.

The clue for why that wouldn't make any sense to celebrate in the EU server lies in what A and NZ stand for in that acronym.

And spare us the whole Commonwealth, British colonies and what not discourse.

My geography is not what it used to be, but aren't those 2 nations a tad far from the EU ?

Good Lord, what a spiteful and disrespectful comment about those who were involved in global conflict. "Spurtung"? Yuck.

It's really weird that some players would prefer to not have a day of remembrance for the contribution made by Australians and New Zealanders to ensuring a free Europe.  As some have stated; both countries are very far from Europe, which is why it might be a bigger deal that they risked their lives half a planet away from their families, all while their own country was at risk of invasion from Japan.  I have ancestors that fought in both wars, and can't imagine what their experiences may have been.  Thankfully they and many others served.  Anyway, whatever.

You will probably get an opportunity to buy the AC1 Sentinel bundled with a lot of gold for Euro 100

I guess Australia have finally joined European Union.

Now we just need China and Russia to join too and we are set.

Canadians fought too. Should we celebrate their day too?

What about the Gurkhas from Nepal?

I mean, not wanting to sound impertinent here, but there really must be a line drawn somewhere.

The Australians and New Zealanders did a noble job in both WW1 and WW2.

But given that these were world wars, there were many dozens of players.  The Indian army was the largest volunteer force ever raised.  A Brazilian Division fought in Italy.  Etc.
