Plus now we are all friends in Europe, right ?

A lot of remembrance already (it is okay but there is a limit) of sad events no one alive took part in, and between european countries.

In every battle/war there were terrible and savage things done by both sides, that each could say were motivated.

Well .... technically .... yeah, but it's very hard to remain friends through a Divorce.

And she wants to take the kids anyway.

Not enough if you look at the state of our world, especially our big industrial nations who should have learned a few things from our past...

Personally I would be happier to remember that 23rd is St Georges day and celebrate that.

They did, they learn't war and conquest makes them money.

Indeed.  I wonder if those from countries who contributed little during those European conflicts realise (or even care about) the sacrifices made by people from outside of Europe.
