TL:DR: The italian Bull Skull is a Talisman for Protection.

History and Symbolism of the Italian Horn

The cornicello has been in use in Italy, since the ancient times. According to some historians, the amulet represents a pagan Moon Goddess, who was worshiped in Europe (and in Italy) during the ancient times. This is why the horn is initially said to have had the shape of the crescent moon.

With the passage of time, the Italian horn came to be recognized as the Devil's horn, and it was believed that if it was worn in the form of an amulet, no danger could ever touch the wearer.

It is very interesting to note that the Italian horn is also used in European occult traditions; however, in this case, its usage and symbolism is much different from what is popularly known. In the occult religion, the Italian horn is associated with the unicorn, and is used as a tool to ask the Devil for financial help.

According to the proponents of Occultism, the symbol was the creation of Druid priests of Ireland and Scotland.

Nevertheless, its more popular usage is associated with warding off the evil eye, and from ancient times till date, the cornicello amulet is worn by people, especially by nursing mothers and pregnant women.

Moreover, it was also believed that the malocchio could have adverse effects on the relationships of married couples. Therefore, the cornicello was worn to maintain peace and happiness in marriage.

So Paganism/Satanism? Remove or give the ability to do so, please. Thank you.

I knew someone would bring the religious card. :D

Seriously, though. Remove it. It's just awful and in my opinion has nothing to do with the game.

I like it. Keep it. It brings something a little different to the visuals in the game.

Anyone who has enough time on their hands to even noticesomething as trivial as this is spending far too much time not shooting enemies.

It's just as much of a decoration as a bike, a music instrument or special paintings on a tank....both have nothing to do with the game either.

This is some soerious stupid blabbering going on. The passage being quote refers to this:

So please, just remove the skull from the tank and stop this nonsense...

Harsh?

Derna, Mechili

On 23 January, Tellera the 10th Army commander, ordered a counter-attack against the British as they approached Mechili Fort, to avoid an envelopment of the XX Motorised Corps from the south but communication within the Babini Group was slow, because only the tanks of senior commanders had wireless.[a] Next day, 10–15 M13/40s of the Babini Group attacked the 7th Hussars of the 4th Armoured Brigade, which was heading west to cut the Derna–Mechili track. The Italians fired on the move, hit several tanks and pursued as the British swiftly retired, calling for help from the 2nd RTR, which ignored the signals through complacency. By 11:00 a.m., the British had lost several light tanks and a cruiser tank, one cruiser had a jammed gun and the third was retiring at speed, after taking fifty rounds to knock out two M13s. Eventually the 2nd RTR was alerted, caught the Italian tanks while sky-lined on a ridge and knocked out seven M13s, for a British loss of the cruiser and six light tanks.

In World of Tanks the M14/41 is tier II, and the M15/42 is tier III. M13/40 is an earlier variant of the tier II.

The British cruiser referred to is likely to be th A13 mk IV or IVA as 665 were built. In game this is a tier III tank.

So the M13/40 is the equivalent to maybe a stock tier II, while the British cruiser is an elited all modules tier III. Gives an idea why the Italians were at a disadvantage vis a vis tanks to the British at that time.

There are helmets, sandbags, and logs on the sides of some of my tanks; what do they have to do with the game, and why aren't you petitioning for their removal ?

the religious card? you brought the religion into play not me.

but yeah if you want no religion in the game, the Italian rations could offend the church of the flying spaghetti monster so you should maybe petition to remove or change the food of the nation!

he's not pulling the religion card. he's simply saying that the skull doesn't have to represent paganism just because paganism happened to have a skull as a symbol, the same way not every cross is a reference to christianity. he used the christian cross as an example but it could've just as well been something not related to religion. for example not all human skulls are a reference to pirates. some warn about toxicity for example and others just want to look cool.

of course this logic doesn't always apply. usually it's clear what a symbol is meant to represent. if nazi protesters claimed their swastikas are a reference to hinduism or indian traditions they'd sound ridiculous.

you probably thought he meant: "if christianity is okay, then why isn't paganism?". it would be a good point if world of tanks had christianity in it but it don't think it does
