Frontline game mode Attack/Defence mechanics

From day one I could tell it wouldn't work.

  • Adolfkanonen don't shoot when the final stage opens up for the attackers
  • Defence is too difficult
  • Still too corridorised

 

The latter point isn't what I wanted to point out though:


In BattleFields 2, you have to cap out the control points and keep them yours while the enemy does the same, these will allow you to spawn closer to the battle.

 

In addition each team has spawn "credits", which are the maximum amount of times allies can respawn after they are destroyed.

 

You can win by two ways:

  1. Capture all control points and kill all enemies remaining enemies (they won't be able to respawn since they lost all control points)
  2. Exaust the enemy's "spawn credits"

 

What does this has to do with WoT and Frontline?

 

Frontline needs a similar setup.

Let's say each team has 100 "spawn credits" (after 100 spawns are made and the last tank dies, the team loses and after a while, you're the only allied tank left. If you die, game over, kaput. Your team loses.

 

If you capture a CP, your team mates can now spawn in and fight once more.

 

In case the enemy captures all lines except your initial line, the Adolfkanonen starts shooting to help you repel the enemies. These can be destroyed normally like it currently is but do not influence the outcome.

the next failure like historical battles, tournaments and grand battles.

WG do not know how to make an interesting and good game.

Frontline is a promising game mode. That's just it.
