I have a question. Which type of tank is most easier to play versus higher tiers. I mean like you are tier V agaist tier VII or tier VI agaist tier VIII. Just +2 matchmaking.

Honestly, arty. It's true.

Quiz answers miss the point.

The correct answer is not by types, but any tank with a pen or derp sufficient to deal with the worst +2 armour it will encounter.

Arty is the best option for you. You shoot, shoot and shoot without worrying taking any damage and when you die it is so quick that you don't feel any pain.

Tbh for average Joe? Anything with a derp. M4, Kv-2, SU-152, O-I or even the Pz IV etc. As the O-I to name one. I've ever only aced in +2 games. Never as top tier.

In +2 matchmaking:

Lights: you're still able to spot perfectly fine, you're still the sneakiest tank. Just gotta play smart and not get caught with your pants down

Meds: you're screwed unless the map allows for effective flanking

Heavies: you're screwed unless you have a BFG derp

TDs: if you have good pen you can snipe some good damage

Arty: the higher tier you're up against, the more potential damage there is to do during the battle

Must be LT for me, I've got a non tomato WR (60%+) for BC12t despite it being my first tech tree LT at T8...

Grinded out all the modules and +70k XP so can't be purely luck :P

Its less a question of tank type and more a question of gun pen.

I would say derp with all types, and if you want a specific type then heavy.

In tanks like the KV2 you are hoping for tiers 8 battles, but even with tiers 7 heavies you can mostly do good.

In general obviously arty and TDs as they are less affected by enemy armor. But it always depends on map and matchup: If the enemy doesn't have a lot of armored tanks then high DPM might be more effective than high penetration. On a city map alpha might be more useful. In mid-tier it is easier for lights to be effective spotters (as many tanks will have less than 400m viewrange). And so on.

Light tanks: you already have no armour and a potato gun. So your position in the player list doesn't really matter... ;)

Heavy tanks: after a certain thickness (90-100mm) you can start to make armour works using autobounce angling or hulldown (if you have a good turret). You usually have a good gun too, so you can effectively assist your top tier.

TD: you usually got a gun rated 2 tier higher than the tank. Make it sing. :justwait:

Actually in most mid tier HT's in a +2 game. I usually get more assist then damage. As top tier arty is not the worst to have as a backup then.
