I played one game in it and the speed is very refreshing compared to the Churchill B.P , but the lack of armour is...  a rather significant handicap :(

If u can go medium line u can get into a dpm battle, meds dont like fighting it at all. Its not great on the heavy line unless u have lots of help.

I've had since first release.

It just about works at the moment because Tier VII MM is reasonably good. However, it still has the old HD Cent 1 turret, which is just one big weakspot. If it had the new Cent turret, it would be alright.

You can do well in it, but VK45.03 and IS-2B far superior

Hey, it's a collectors gem. Used to collect dust in your garage because tank is useless and you will play once a month.

Now give us €€

When it popped up, I though "Oooh, look a british premium, let's see what's f'd up with this one!" a minute later "hahahaha that gun hahahahaha, that'll teach those defenders lol!"

Obviously I didn't buy it since I already have one british premium heavy tank with a crap gun (Excelsior).

It's actually not a bad tank when top tier, or in a tier 8 game. AT-15A when it arrived had +2 MM. But later it was given +1 and a ROF buff, even after they started removing pref MM tanks from the tech tree. If they do the same to this. It would go from "meh" to good instantly.

Except WG wants to get rid of SMM, not expand it to other tanks. And the Black Prince would need it much more anyway.

I personally loved the original Caernarvon (after the nightmare BP) and so couldn't wait to get hold of this. Like the old Caravan, this only really works in positions where you can use the full gun depression. This is where the armour is at its best. I don't regret the purchase at all, I needed a better trainer than the Excelsior.

I am tank collector and at me as in every large collection there is part of the collection that is to be proud and displayed ,and their is part of collection that  is stored in most unimportant place where nobody enters, like basement, because not you not everyone else want to see it.

Its like part of collection but actually like its not, since not even you consider it exists,  would want not to exist, but you keep it in case maybe some else collector in the world decided to do same awkward thing to keep it in his collection to, which could potentialy make his collection appear larger by one  peace.

There is no way it can be evealuated as tank just as tank collectors game, not tank.

And FV201(A45)  is worst collectors game in history of this game.

It's one of the worst tier 7 tanks in the game (if not the worst) but it's still fun. Going phew phew on lower tier opponents is fun, but even then it performs rather poorly.

It's not really a heavy tank. It's more like a very slow medium with decent turret armor.

As you can see, the hull armor is trash.

You mean it's fckn useless and need lots of love from WG. (Just like the Churchills and the Black Prince.)

The (lower / middle tier) British Heavies really s*ck bigtime a.t.m.!!!

I wished someone of WG replied on this for once and explained to us why these British HTs are kept so fckn useless.!  (And no, I'm NOT going to spend more money on them. btw. I have the fckn tier 9 Conqueror on this account. But the BP on my other account ... And that thing is almost utterly useless.! Just like this FV201(A45); No usable armor, very slow, very unreliable low dmg gun. etc etc.

SO Please tell us that you are going to improve these tanks. Specially this one as we have paid for it with REAL MONEY.!!!!

WG handled this tank and the British tech tree very badly.

The Churchill VII should've been removed and the Black Prince down-tiered to tier 6 with a relevant nerf to the HP and gun parameters. And don't tell me the Black Prince would be OP at tier 6 travelling at 20 km/h and dealing 150 damage. And it most certainly wouldn't be anymore OP than the O-I, which is faster with a stupid gun. With the Churchill VII removed and the Black Prince down-tiered, the FV201 (A45) should've then been made a tech tree tier 7.

The FV201(A45) is essentially a variant of the FV200 series of tanks the British were developing, the so-called ''Universal Tank''. As such, the British lines should've looked like this;

Spoiler

The ''Universal Tank'' sitting at tier 7, continuing the British heavy line as well as allowing you to side-step in to the medium line by researching the Centurion I. Allow it to research the 20-pdr A-barrel as its top gun.

Tier 8 premium could've been the Vickers MBT. A hybrid between the FCM 50t and the M4 Rev. 105 mm gun mounted on a lightly armoured and mobile chassis.
