Hi.

Just want to hear if others are having the same issue.

For the last week or so, every time me and friend team up and join a game we end up loosing not just loosing but loosing big. Like 15-3 15-4 etc. in that range.

Today we had over 2 hours of play with ALL matches ending like this, and not a single match was won. All loss.

I know we arent the best players, but unless we are the only bad players I would expect the matches to be more even.

If we join matches seperately the win/loss ratio is what I would expect from how bad we are.

Are we the only one having this issue ? and is it an issue ?

Hi

I don't really think this is an issue, though if your friend has the same level as you (I do not want to ashame you as I had the same kind of level at my 5k games) then being in a platoon just adds two "bad" players (not here to judge your level) to the team which is roughly 13% of your team. Just add the MM fortuity and the high number of people back for the marathon and you can have some "underpowered" teams leading to a lot of losses.

Just persevere, learn the game mechanics, improve your team play with your platoon-mate and you can pass over some of those cases.

...or it could just be that if a bad player toons with another bad player that their ability to carry doesn't increase but gets worse because the team now has to carry two players who can't pull their weight...?

OP: platooning offers a reinforcement effect.

This is because you leave out a part of the random team distribution part. Your toonmate is a guaranteed person, so take the place of a random skill person.

What does it mean?

Two good players together will win more then alone, because they got a toonmate that can carry their weight just like them, enhancing their matches.

In reverse, if a player that has trouble doing his own HP in damage toons with another player that has similar issues, they combined will lose more then individually, because the random skill person is replaced by a below average person.

Random skilled player is average in skill, over enough games played. Tooning circumvents that by bringing along someone who has a guaranteed skill level (better, average, worse) & will influence your ability to win accordingly.
