Is this vehicle just a worse version of the Easy Eight?  Gonna get it?

I don't suppose you buy it for a performance gain as such and more the fact that it's a Russian offering if that's what your looking for but mostly the gain is with the running costs of course since it's a premium so while it's not much gain over the Easy8 other than tank traverse what you are really getting is the 50% more credits or cheaper running costs, whatever way you want to look at it. So you can basically spam some gold ammo without crippling yourself as much as you would with a non premium tank.

Also, if you only have decent Russian medium crew and not decent American med crew but fancy a Sherman, now you can have a Sherman and pop your T34-85M crew into it for a run(I think). What you really need to compare it too is the other tier6 M4 premium Shermans for comparison, the Fury and the Thunderbolt. Fury is slower top speed but a little more P/W while the Thunderbolt would probably be the tank I would chose if given one for free, with it's faster aiming and more accurate gun along with similar P/w, not so bad mobility and twice the thickness of armor being 124mm thick and sloped for more like effective 190mm and at tier6 that is serious stopping power along with the sloping ricochet effect, can someone buy me a Thunderbolt pls?

Edit- here ya go, complete with a rammer, vstabs and bino layout

Just had the same pop-up thanking me for my 'loyalty'.

Turns out, by being a Prem Acc user it gives me the 'opportunity' to spend even more £££.

:sceptic:

It's basically a Sherman but what i don't understand is...it has less power because it has a diesel but is faster on all surfaces despite having worse hp/t and more weight and has 2° less gun depression with the US gun "because it's russian"...that logic.

The Thunderbolt has more frontal hull armour than the Jumbo.  I don't know how often they are sold, but it looks like a much nicer tank.

TB was my first Prem...

I've already got a Rudy and a free T-34 85M (thanks WG) so I don't really need this. Plus I'm about to pay £10 for that Italian thing. :harp:

I've found the Thunderbolt surprisingly effective, given that Mediums don't really agree with me.  It's mobile without being exactly fast, the gun is okay, and the armour is quite bouncy, more so than the T-34-M.

Thunderbolt is essentially a baby SuperPershing.

Thunderbolt is very good. Better gunhandling than the Fury and decent mobility. The armour is a bit more tricky. It's like the Superpershing. The extra plates give very good protection, but there are a lot of weak spots. It works great against shots from a distance, but close-up people can avoid hitting those extra plates.

In general, it's just an easy tank to play. Very good for beginners.

I moaned for a Russian Sherman in the threads a couple of times a year or so ago. I'd like to think they listened.......

Does this mean I should buy it on a principle sort of thingy:playing:
