Edited where is my blocked damage?

Where the [edited]is my blocked damage by armor? Playing T95 bouncing shot after shot I counted atleast 5K but got only 2,2K

I think sometimes when you get crited by shots i dont think the game counts it as damage blocked? Since i've had shots not penetrate my tank and it doesn't show up at the end of the match as blocked.

 

i dont know exactly how the mechanics work since i havent played the game for awhile.

You have a blocked damage counter in game, use that instead of counting yourself. Shots absorbed by your tracks don't count as blocked damage.

Ok so i guess i was right about the tracks not counting as damage blocked.

This: Only damage blocked by armor counts. Damage absorbed by any external module (tracks, guns, optics, etc) don't count. Note, damage absorbed by HE/HESH doesn't count either.

It's something to keep in mind, if you see a tank blocks 2K damage on average, you're safe to add 1K blocked extra, because the damage absorbed by external modules & HE/HESH isn't counted (mainly the tracks can absorb some great amounts on certain tanks)

Which is kind of retarded, since I try to turn my tank before they fire, so their shot hits my tracks instead of my paper thin armour. Doesn't always work, but since I am trying to use my tank effectively, why shouldn't I be rewarded. Especially when trying to do blocking missions.

Well, tracks are still a module on the tank, and while a shot there won't damage your tank HP, it will inflict damage and can destroy the track module, so it's not blocked per se.

It used to work like that, did make you see some silly high damage blocked numbers that way. But then it got reworked & the insane numbers dropped away.

As mentioned above, it likely got dropped because those shots still did damage, just not directly to your HP pool, just to the module HP pool.

If someone fires HE at you and it doesn't do any damage to you or hits your gun, (I imagine a lotta people fire HE at the front of the T95) it will show the potential damage of the HE shell in the blocked damage marker on-screen (black) but it doesn't count as blocked damage.

- HE/HESH will never count towards damage blocked, even if it does no damage

- hitting external modules (tracks, gun, viewport) doesn't count towards damage blocked, the shell needs to actually hit the armor behind it and bounce.

Had this game where i was tracked by a Grille from less than 5° from the front - it happened at counter 3:00 where i tried to cross the rails to attack the enemy Obj. 140.

Damage indicator showed red which is damage and still counted the damage as blocked. Either it's a bug or the shot somehow did some spirals and hit the side of my tank.... :confused: ...

The other 3 hits i recieved from the JP100, Grille and Obj. 705A were bounces and showed black....and counted too.

Depends on what they shoot, and where they shoot. Tracks is not damage blocked by armor, nor is crit hits on your gun etc. And HE, even if it says 600 etc. Still is not damage blocked by armor as such.

It makes total sense, if a shots trajectory doesnt intersect with your hull, it couldnt have done dmg in the first place , so you cant have blocked it. However if you hit the tracks and the shots trajectory does intersect with the hull, you did block it.

Yeh I guess there can be times where the track absorbs the damage which of course means no damage blocked, but other times where the shell passes through the track and dings from the armour behind it, much like what I suspect happened with Enforcer's 140 examples.

It might be possible that the shot ricocheted off the track into the hull and it showed red because it was module damage but also counted as blocked? The shot came in from pretty much dead ahead, maybe he even just clipped the track and that was enough to reduce pen enough plus the angle was autobounce anyway. Too many variables....just wanted to show that trackshots still get counted as bounced. 

Here's another game where i deliberately showed my tracks and it didn't count as blocks, probably because the player could only hit the sprocket but the icon is the same as with the Grille.

Only noticed your post now, but...

 

They have 3 colors. Red, orange and black as shown in the hit indicator settings in the settings menu. Red is damage, black is damage blocked. And orange shows you got critical hits or module damage. As in damage not absorbed by the armor and thus not counted. As indicated by the track icon under it instead of a damage number. As black has numbers under them to show how much you blocked. And orange don't.
