Nothing new but 1.0 is here so............ https://www.youtube....h?v=QHxI4V3sPOM

How about:

Tier 1 = 100% crew

Tier 2 = 80% crew

Tier 3 = 65% crew

Tier 4+ = 50% crew

For Tier 1(-3) could be special equipment which is very cheap [500-3000$?] and can only be put onto those low tiers.

So new players learn how to use modules and which effects they have.

They can fool around with all kind of combinations and THEN use it properly on big tanks.

Long story short: make tier 1(-3) a PREVIEW of whats to come! ^^

Tier 1 always comes with 100% crew now on new accounts. And the hidden PM mission set only for new players gives one 100% crew of any tank at any point. But it's a one time use. And tbh, 65% crew is about as useful as a 50% crew. So might as well make it 75%. The new player missions also gives camo net, binocs, LT vents, a few 100K silver etc. New players still have it better off then we did back in 2011/12. When all we got was an M3 Light.

What there should be is a "play area" so the new players can experiment in peace with their tanks etc vs AI vs going up vs padders. As even proving ground is removed now. Boot camp works, but still more limited.

But what you ask for is already how things are, to almost the exact percent lol!!! I mean, all tier1 tanks come with a 100% crew when you first get this game. If I recall you also get a weeks free premium account so if you just played about a dozen tier1 battles you would have enough credits to transfer the crew to your new tier 2 for the more expensive silver option and they would probably be about 80-85% trained after that transfer since they would reset to 75% but also carry some of the xp gained from those dozen tier battles with the unselected skill boxes building up some %. By the time a player about another dozen or more battles at tier2 and unlock the tier3, again they can transfer that probably now 90% crew to the tier 3 for silver at about that 65% figure you are suggesting and by the time they unlock tier4, again they can carry the crew over if they so wished but since you are suggesting the tier4 crew should be at 50% well, you get 50% crew for free anyway so... what you are suggesting is already how things are lol. Just keep in mind you do get a week or two free premium so the credits and extra xp are all there to be made.

Also keep in mind, unlike before, if you now download this game you get to select a tier3 tank with a full 100% crew and I think you even get some equipment as you complete the tutorial so you actually get a tier3 nowadays with a top crew and such for sensibly completing the tutorials. You also get some gold which I recommend new players to immediately use to purchase an additional garage slot before they use it buy some magic beans with. The only players that would not get a tier1 with a 100% crew would be established players going back to re-purchase these tanks and that's opposition the new players could do without facing anyway so all is good in that regard. Tell your buddy QB to check how things are or at least recall how tanks come with 100% crew and also that noobs now get a free tier3 with a 100% crew and some equipment for completing tutorials and not talk as though there is some unattainable situation when starting to play this game new if that is indeed what he said.

On the flip side of that my two cents on the matter would be that noobs get a 100% crew for their first new tier tank from each nation they unlock up to tier3, maybe 4 and at 75% for tier5, a once off only and a 75% discount on equipment of those tanks, again, as a once off deal, you sell it and re-purchase it later, tough. Something like that.

You get 100% crews on tier 1 tanks, free stuff from tutorial (which teaches basics pretty well - unlike before) and you start the game with premium time and bunch of gold from invite codes (internet is flooded with them). And you get limited MM up to tier 3.

Rammer and vents are almost meaningless because tanks have very little HP and very short reloads or auto-cannons - 10% less reload time is not a big deal. Binos are the only piece that gives you advantage.

MM prioritized battles for you with other new players too. So unlike QB, you won't be meeting statpadders in pimped out tanks in every battle.

I mean, how much protection does a new player need in a PvP game? You are new, you are learning - it's normal to be losing more battles than winning, be outclassed. WG can give equipment, credits, 100% crews -  but it won't change a thing because more experienced players will own puppies anyway.

Exactly, at least WoT has some sort of noob protection and a tier system. Many other PvP online shooter games are basically just a handful of maps, no tiering and you just go straight into combat vs the best in the game running around dropping claymore mines and getting digitally raped for your first 1000 battles. You have to crawl out from behind your bed and take a bloody nose before you can expect to be competitive at online gaming. If that is too much for a player then it really isn't going to work out moving forward in the game anyway

Quicky's answer to that would be a 'quick dab of the 2 key'...

There should be no crews at all at tiers 1-3. New players will want to progress up the tree, and even if you elite tier 1-3 tanks, the (crew) experience earned in the process is not enough to make up for the penalty to transfer them for credits. So effectively your crew gets worse as you go up in tiers (and/or tears). It would also take the incentive that sealclubbers can train new crews on low tiers (and seal tears).

And no, there is no good reason for n00bs to stay longer at such low tiers, because there is little that they can learn at those tiers, that would help them in mid and high tier games, except maybe for some bad habits - the gameplay, tank and gun handling is just completely different.

Last but not least, it's nice that WG provides them with 100% crews, but many n00bs will disband most of those crews, because they will "sell" the tier 1 tanks of most nations for the garage slots, and then they will also have to free up the barracks slots to do just that - I did exactly that when I started last August.
