The decision is between the Löwe, FV4202, the french M4A1, T26E4, T54 mod. 1, Panther 8.8 and STA-2.

Or maybe you can recommend another premium tank (it dont have to be tier 8)

Get Progetto. Or Loraine.

I would like to ask if anyone who owns the Patton KR likes it? I see it was introduced in the in-game tech tree, so we can buy it with gold. I have 2.5k gold and might buy some more to get that tank for Randoms. Want to train M60 crew while grinding credits.

I do not own Pilot 1 and I'm not interested in slow tanks like Super Pershing.

I like it, decent all-rounder for randoms with excellent gun depression and the mantlet was buffed recently so it's got the same armour as the regular Pershing, bounces quite a bit when you're fighting on a ridge. Good gun handling, can hit fairly well on the move and is pretty mobile. Downside would be the regular complaint about US tanks, poor shell velocity at only 853m/s but it's like most of those tanks, once you get used to how much lead you need to give it's not so much of a problem unless you're trying to hit fast-moving lights.

On a serious note: Don't buy any tier 8.

MM is bad and you don't have enough games and experience to play up there.

There are some good credit earners and crew trainers down below.

Pretty much this. If you already know what you are getting yourself into and want to do it anyway, by all means, go ahead. Otherwise, stay as far away from any tier 8 tank as possible at the moment. The MM is so f*cked that you probably wont have any fun whatsoever because all you will ever see are tier 10 matches. I just bought the Progetto last night on 80% discount (would have never done it otherwise), played it for about 2-3 hours straight and i am already sick of tier 8 again. Played 18 matches and only 1 of them was tier 8 (the first one, which is a guaranteed top tier match in any new tank, so it doesnt even really count). All other games were tier 9 or 10, over and over and over and over...

If i had to choose one of the tanks you mentioned i would pick the M4 Rev any day, but that is just personal preference. Looking at your battle count i would say something with some armor would probably be better for you. And since you are spending real money here, dont waste your time with mediocre stuff. Just go and buy the most OP sh*t you can get, like the Defender or something. Sure, doing this isnt helping the gameplay in WoT, but since WG apparently thinks that tank is fine, dont go and buy a Löwe instead.

But once again, i would not recomment buying any tier 8 tank right now. If you absolutely want a premium tank, get a tier 6 or 7 (T34-85M or Panther M10 for example). They dont make that much money, but are far more enjoyable with the current MM.

Do not buy any premium tank today!

There's a discount this weekend - 50% off tier V dropping to 15% off tier VIII premiums (source). :coin:

Lowe = very good but kinda slow

FV4202 = low dpm, decent turret against t8's and some t9's.

M4A1 = best bank for buck atm in the sub-10k gold bracket, difficult to do well in it

T26E4 = slow and everyone knows it's weakspots, armor is useless against t8-9 td's

Panther 88 = amazing dpm but application of that dpm sucks

STA-2 = low shell velocity, good mobility

I'd go for the M4A1.

PS: Progetto discounted to 50% or above or T26E5 also are very good.

1 lowe is a heavy
2 those are the worst premiums
but if your plan is to buy those next to the tech trees for gold i understand. suggesting t54 mod 1 or cdc!
if you plan on buying tanks from the premium shop you gotta wait for the hot stuff!

I decide now between the T54 Mod 1 or the T26E5 (both are on discount).

Or I wait for a discount on a good T6/T7 Premium.

T26E5 isn't discounted. It's considered a special offer because it appears in the premium shop once every 1-2 months. Also the T54Mod1 is at its usual price, you just get some bonus prem time/reserves/5xMissions for "free".

If you want actual discounts, you should check the premium vehicles available in the tech tree tomorrow.

The upcoming Polish T8 looks extremely powerful. Wait for it imo.

You mean a tier 8 support medium isn't winning as much as a tier 9 heavy or a tier 10 TD?

Ok, I appreciate the recent introductions are OP but at least compare apples with similar tanks on the same tier. Or something like that.

Unless the message is that the Panther 8,8 isn't very good regardless of what you compare it to, in which case please refer to the moving image a couple of lines above.

For someone with your stats either the Lowe or the T-54 Mod1, they feature armor which will keep you alive longer if you make mistakes.

Cobra 6

I'd say the Super Pershing. It was my first premium tier 8, from a marathon. Preferred matchmaking to keep you away from gold spamming tier 10's and great armor.

Very simple rule when it comes to buying tier 8 prems.

1. Don't.

2. Don't.

3....

Seriously thought its a waste of cash. If you insist on buying a premium get a tier 7 or tier 6 one. Preferably a tier 7 because tier 6 is almost as bad as tier 8.

Panther/M10 and your choice of a bitter to quell the pain when grinding tanks.

The tank's far from 'idiotproof', but it leads to little in the way of frustration. Of course, I'm not completely convinced that there's much point in grinding to higher tiers anymore - in which case your credit needs aren't that great.

Don't get the Panther 88 dude its win rate on Vbaddict is 44.35% from 20k battles recorded, in fact only the 59-Patton has worse WR among the tier 8 premiums, it is just atrocious, plus you already have the Panther M10 and T-25 so no need of another german med.

STA-2 and FV4202 are also not very capable in the current meta and in the case of the FV, just wait for Cent 5/1 sale, it is just clearly a better tank.

The mod.1 is just like the FV, wait for T-44-100, but if you want russian med with armor it is ok.

The Super Pershing is a medium in name only, it is slower than many heavies, but it has armor and pref. MM, it is a good tank actually if you can deal with how slow it is...

The M4 Rev, i love that tank, the gun feels great to work with, 390 alpha with OK base pen(no 175mm russian BS),-10 gun depression and amazing shell velocity, it is pretty much point and shoot, almost no lead required and the tank is not too slow.

And the Lowe... it is a heavy dude. DPM is terribad, but people seem to like it, despite that, so it must be good in other areas.

If you want a good 90mm premium med, get yourself a Progetto, that tank rendered pretty much all other 90mm meds obsolete(with few exceptions), it is just so flexible and enjoyable to play. The Lorraine 40t is also a good option if you can play autoloaders.
