lol, my Strv 103 0 was hit by an E 100 at less than 200 meters but I could still not spot him. Go figure.

That's double-bushing.

So if it was triple bushing i could have been right on top of it and he couldnt have been spotted right?

What if it was quadruple bushing?

How about you don't get arsey and instead learn how the camo mechanics work? Or is that too much to ask?

Does this seems normal to you? Just asking.

Seems normal to me. The other thing that is normal are players whining on the forum about things they haven't researched beforehand. As soon as you understand camo mechanics you can start to use them, so don't blame the Strv103 for opening your eyes.

Yep. If you're double bushed, meaning you're behind two distinct sets of bush that are both opaque when you're in gun view and no one has line of sight to any of your vision points, you will not be spotted when firing. You can drive forward, spot a target, reverse until the bushes are solid and fire. Rinse and repeat until target is down or gets the hint that they need to move.

There aren't many sets of bushes which grant you those sorts of lines but given the S1 had managed to get around behind you into that position in the first place, you could consider that he earned the right to some cheeky shots.

But he's on his own side of the map and almost certainly didn't "get around him"? Not trying to pretend OP Isn't a bit stupid for this thread in general, but just sayin'.

He has 3 or 4 bushes breaking LOS. He spots his own targets, backs off and fires. Even a HT could pull that off if he has enough cover between him and his target. Don't matter if he is 100m away or 300. 15m and double bush, you will have a hard time spotting most targets behind it.

Yes, you got outplayed. Nothing more. He would not be that hard to spot if he was in the open. Then I would get it. But with that much cover? Yes.. it's normal for a TD.

camo net fitted e100s are pretty common when you watch streams :hiding:

Well spotted, that mistake was totally deliberate and intentional to see who was paying attention and I wasn't only looking at that situation in isolation and thinking OP was camping the red line. :hiding:

As Strappy said, the Strv player understood how to get the most benefit out of his camo and bushes.

A camping TD in cover is always going to have the camo advantage and be able to put a shot into you before you spot him.  If you ever spot him.

It IS normal.  Get over your butt-hurt and carry on.

There are quite a few YouTube tutorials on how to make it work for you.

Better than normal, actually: it's oldschool (or at least about 3, 4 years old) normal. What's currently normal in WoT really shouldn't.
