I only started playing a few days ago so I didnt get the full discount, only 40% which Im fine with but WG please..

You give me a 40% discount for a tank, but then you only give me a package packed with stuff like boosters and credits to raise the price, so that I have to buy the tank for 35 euros even though I have a discount and then get some stuff I dont need.. and I mean I got away with a decent price compared to someone that doesnt have a discount at all, still 35 euros is more than a lot of the other tier 8 premiums cost

Someone posted a calculation in another thread. I think the '40% discount' translated into about a 12% off on the tank itself in terms of its projected gold value.

On a related note. Why isn't it possible to gift this bundle to a friend? I don't really need the tank, but obtained a good discount on the bundle.

Its not awfull. You certainly don't have to buy the tank.

And you don't get a discount on the tank, but on the bundle.

In fact, I think its pretty smart from WG because now the tank doesn't have to be stupidly overpriced in the future which is wat happened with the T-44-100. Next time only the tank is for sale for say 35 euro, you can still feel good that you got a crapload of other stuff along with it.

Every marathon event tank since the WZ-111 have been pricier vs a normal premium. The T-44-100, T25 pilot and WZ-111 are sold for more then the most expensive tier 8 premium. As the T-44-100 is close to €50 now since that was the price with all the tokens if you skipped it. Nothing added to it, just more pricey to skip all nations vs just a few. Tho this time around, at least they tossed in premium time, equipment etc, and dropped the tokens and added a discount level instead.

I have the 40% "discount" as well, I am going to wait until it's in the in game store with a discount.  And then still probably not bother.

That's about right.

54 euro bundle, 35 euro tank.

54x0.6 = 32.4

32.4/35 = 0.925 .... so about 8-9% if you only care about the tank and the garage slot

11-12% if you also want the 100% crew, valued at 100 gold each.

It was a coupon marathon, i ended up buying it at 70% because i thought the camo might be special .... it turned out to be 'special'.

Yes, but the T-44-100 was the only one they buffed to insane levels to justify their pricing.

No rasha bias here, da comrade !

Yeah but.. mysteriously those premium days and other stuff disappeared as you progressed from stage to stage... so it's hard for me to say if the deal is actually getting worse and worse until you reach the latter stages like 9 or 10. Remember, you are essentially grinding and putting in your time to get the stuff in game that they drop out of the 'discounted' bundle.

What is your plea exactly, because I fail to see one.

The event was designed to offer various rewards (the bundle) at various discounts which depends on how much time a player spends time on it.

In your situation you admit yourself that you did not spend much time on it (a few days, instead of a few weeks of the event), and you got a hefty 40% discount.

Mind you, the event is designed in a way that stages to get higher discounts involve increasingly much more time to be spend.

People who grind the whole event would spend 5+ times as much time as you have to get your 40% discount.

Be glad that the discount was not implemented linearly or you would have received roughly a 10% discount on the package.

This is actually one of their better designed events, where all sorts of players can "get" something.

- Players who can't spend as much time can ramp up their discounts with the early stages at a pretty descent rate

- Players who can spend a lot of time can grind all the way to get all of the rewards for free

- Both players who are willing to spend money and don't want to spend money on the game are rewarded for the little or much time to spend on the game.

50% here and same overall attitude. Don't think it would have been that difficult to get to 100% but weather during the weekends was just too good not to spend it outside for a grill, crafted beers, and/or lazily hanging about in a hammock. Then there's football to watch, BIOS's to customize, Witcher 3 MOD's to test, etc. Oh well and work of course. Which would require far less effort to obtain me the money needed to buy that bundle even at 100%, compared to getting it for 'free'.

You can wait and buy the tank ale when it comes to the premium shop... Probably, still for around ~35 euros :D

I really don't care how much "discount" you actually get from marathon if you exclude all additional stuff. I like to think that I bought new tier 8 premium at cheaper price than usual and got bunch of stuff for free. Maybe I'm fooling myself but this way spending money on WoT doesn't hurt as much...

Just got it today with 80% discount. Paid just shy of 12 euros for it so I`m pretty pleased with the result. Problem is I don`t really enjoy playing it. I don`t really know why since the tank resemble with the TVP 50/51, which is one of my favorite tank in the game. Maybe cause I`m not used to the Spaghetto tank yet... we will see after a few more days.

Bottom line here is they are setting a precedent.

1. Make the mission insanely time consuming knowing it's only achievable to a few die hards.

2. Bundle the tank with a ton of useless crap to inflate the price significantly.

3. Laugh as the idiots (that's us by the way) think they are getting a good deal paying 30-35 euro for a tank that costs that anyway.

4. See it as a great success and from now on make all marathons insanely difficult for easy money.

Fact is people put a lot of time into this even though they were never going to complete it, this gives them the burden to buy the tank because of all the hard work they did not going to waste. WG know this, it's a trap and just another clever money grab.

You've played 13 Games in it dude, quit your whining. My first 15 Games netted me a 47% WR In it, but at 55 Games now I'm at 62%, which is still a small sample size to go off of.
