If they have skills, send them to barracks before you sell. Buy the new tank without crew and move the old crew into it. You will have to spend gold or credits on training, but if they are already at 100% you can retrain to 90% with credits. You will need to recruit an extra radio operator for the Med III. If you do not have the credits to retrain all the crew, at least try to retrain the commander to pass on the maximum commander bonus. Any skills will continue to work even if at less than 100% training, but will not increase until you reach 100%. Perks will work but only if at 100% on the perk.

The Med III is rubbish, but the Matilda is excellent.

You can move the crew, but you will need to retrain them so they work at full capacity, or you can get a new one.

move them to the Medium III, don't retrain them

even with 75% base crew skill they will be better then most tier III crews and it's not worth the money yet, wait for tier IV or V with that.

Congrats on reaching one of the best tanks in the game tier per tier. :) Just get that pew pew peashooter with low alpha and high pen and you're on a road to glory. I still use my Matilda to train more UK crews for all kinds of ambitions I have. It's just _that_ good .

The Matilda is the way to go, and as the others have said you can start with a new crew or retrain the crew you have and lose some of their main qualification. You should note that training the Commander for Sixth Sense only works when it reaches 100% because it is a Perk and not a Skill. So effectively it is being wasted at the moment. Unfortunately, or fortunately whichever way you see it, Gold can be used to re-train and retain the main qualification of the crew in the next tank, and/or reset the Skills or Perks.

Too early he still has to suffer the Medium III. But it's worth it indeed.
