I keep getting no sound when I'm shot.    I know this isn't an isolated issue, as others have the same problem.

Can we please get a fix now?

This was an issue on the test server, and that this patch has gone live with no fix is rediculous.

That it still isn't fixed...    I'm literally dying in game due to lack of feedback.

yes bloody annoying when you're busy in a fight and you suddenly die without realising you'd been damaged

strange isn't it, I don't think I got this bug until a micro patch. I certainly don't remember having it with the CT Client or 1.0 deployment, it came later.

As a software developer, I can tell you that this issue is most likely one of those bugs has no obvious cause or solution. So they cant just assign a coder 4 hours to deal with it. What they need to do is assign a group to isolate the problem and have them work at it for as long as it takes to find the bug and work out a solution. And if all coders and QA guys are already scheduled to work on other things, you'll have to wait until there's time to even begin that process.

Hmm? Not had that myself - although there have been a few odd sounds randomly thrown around.

Occasionally not getting the 6th Sense notification either.

Sure it needs a bit more than just a coder, sicne it sometimes works and sometimes not.

But it is for WG to be proud like hell about the sound system and it importance to the gameplay and players. Have a look here:

Since 1.0 I am not able to assess what is happing around anymore.

Getting hit for whatever HP and have no notifcation is far from being fun!

In the past this on happened when shot in rear.

Since 1.0 this is happening far to often in any circumstance.

Fix it!

Actually nothing to add, I just reply to fill and bump this thread. Something has to be done about it.

Does anybody know if this is also a discussed issue on the RU and US forums? Possibly it's just a matter of a proper server setup.

I didnt have this until the micropatches.

I wonder if it's certain guns or ammo or specific hits (turret etc) ?

Its still happening to me, and I'm dying for it.
Get shot moving forwards, then try to engage thinking I still have all my health.

I see it happen to others too - sometimes you can flank someone and they dont react at all to your pea-shooter shooting them in the back over and over.

OP mentioned this in battle yesterday, but it isn't something I have even paid any attention to. I got the master volume set pretty low, because the sound of gun fire disturbs the elderly neighborhood.. for some reason they lack the appreciation for the finer things life has to offer and opt for their much beloved sleep instead, go figure, funny lot them old people... present company excepted, as usual! :teethhappy:

Back to topic, though, I usually notice when I'm being fired at, but I haven't paid attention to it how I notice it, do I keep an eye on the 'event log', my HP count, or the visual flashes/indicators, or the sound. I'd have to make a conscious effort to see if I hear the sound or if I got the bug.

EDIT: I get the hit sounds, so I am not affected by the bug. I'm using an external Asus sound card (which they have not bothered to update for Win 10 iirc).

Answer: headphones.

Also it's not every hit.

It may have something to do if it's a spotted vehicle or not. Not sure.

This is *SUPER* annoying since I use sound to register if an enemy tank has hit mine or not. If I don't hear a "clang" sound I expect to not have taken damage and realizing you've already lost half your HP without so much as a sound is really frustrating.

Not an isolated issue and something that should have very high priority for the next patch.

Still, WG seems to never prioritize bugs unless players gets thrown out of battle.
