I started off this game playing TDs and they are still my favourite line. I only run those with a turret these days, the past changes made fixed casement TDs uncompetitive when played like a noob like me. As I play tiers 5-7, and suffer the same +2mm we all love so much, I have found myself ignoring many of the tanks in my garage. I play my Hellcat and Jackson, as that 90mm gun works so well with the 2 key when needed. Firefly, that 170 odd pen is useful. T29, as I can still use that turret armour. Wolverine, again, good gun. The Hellcat and T29 have always been known as OP - but in such frequent +2, I don't want to take a weak tank and die uselessly and not enjoy my games.

So, have you changed the tanks you pick since the 3-5-7 mm change? Old favourites gathering dust in the garage?

Cheers all.

Agreed, There seems to be a lot of tanks who have been thrown into the 3/5/7 mm system without being balanced to handle it.

The fact that I have to play constantly bottom or monotier X matches, actually amplify my choice in other games titles.

Amplifies your choice? Sorry fella, I'm a bit slow, what do you mean?

As a player that simply ignores where in the tier spread I end up, the answer is no. Getting 15 battles in a row as bottom tier is nothing, getting two teams in a row that deploy on 50% of the map and congregate 9 tanks in a cluster in a corner is a thousand times more anoying.

You could argue that I am one that is not very competitive by nature.

I bet that I am less competitive than you are.

As someone who understand what normal distribution is, I would argue that on a general level there will be a lower chance that you are less competitive than me, and a higher chance that you are more competitive than me, but that this in no way guarantees that you actually are more competitive.

In other words, no bet :)

I don't play tier 8 mediums anymore and play tier 8 much less. I kinda liked tier 8 in the past :(

I didn't get where I am today by being competitive.

No. I play all kinds of tanks. Some I play really bad others I do pretty good in. I have so many tanks that if a tank doesn't suit me I just play some other tanks. But it has nothing to do with the +-2 mm setup. That's actually a requirement for me to play WoT. Though I would like to see the template system get kicked.

Not really. I still play many of the same tanks as I used to. And most of them still do rather well in +2. With either damage or with assist even. I still miss the scout MM on my Luchs even, and have played that less since it got +2. As bullying Tigers was always fun.

The only thing that is affected by 3-5-7 and my choices are with regards to tier 8 premiums. Specially pref MM tier 8's. As some of them are boned due to it. As 3-5-7 made them pull more equal tier games. And they are terrible on some of them. CDC, IS-6, WZ-111 etc I hardly play anymore. I've played my KV-220 more then the IS-6 to train up a new crew for the IS-M when I start on that line. As if I had a choice, I would rather have +1 on my IS-6 all day long vs seeing equal tier games full of HT armor I can't touch.

Not at all. I play whatever tank I like to play and I rarely care if I end up being top- or bottom-tier.

The only tanks I tend not to play these days are my tier 8s with preferential match-making as they seem to see a disproportionate number of tier 9 5/10 battles.

Ok, thanks guys. It seems that I'm more of a noob than I realised, sticking to the safety blanket of OP tanks! Have fun out there, cheers.

Due to the high number of Match Making, we want discussions to take place in the main pinned thread here.
