Gentlemen and gentlemen,

I've noticed ever since I started playing this game, that there are almost always 2-3 people who for some odd reason fire their guns into the ground or at some remote hill at the beginning of the game. Why do they do this? Is it perhaps because they detest having a high accuracy rating, or maybe that they just love wasting credits on resupplying ammunition?

yours truly,

Bexley

I play WoT in window mode, and every time I switch between firefox and game I have to click in the game. Sometimes I double-click, and that is my "first-shoot"

It's to get rid of that useless AP shell and load up some nice, high damage HE.

When I was even more of a noob than I am now, I often did it to remind myself whether the gun was autocannon or not, and what the loading time was.

They do it because they are a) jerks, or b) trolls. The jerks like the sound of explosions and it makes them giggle and dribble, the trolls just want to show how close they can shoot at friendly tanks to annoy them. There is of course a hybrid called a 'trolling jerk'.

It's the WoT equivalent of the posse all firing their colt 45's in the air as they set off, in the best Western movies. All very inspiring and team building! Of course, every so often, someone goes blue because they don't recognise the difference between birds and tanks, but that all adds to the fun, and provides everyone else with a practice target!  :izmena:

Unfortunately, it's usually the sound of me blowing me own tracks off within 30 seconds.

The name was compulsory, not free choice.

Well done for achieving an immaculate sense of timing! Must be worth at least 200 assisted damage!  :teethhappy:

I very nearly destroyed an enemy tank the other day!

The games I enjoy most are the ones with a ping rate of 900+, I can last nearly 2 minutes then! :P

Yeah, so did I! Would have finished the beggar off too, if I hadn't backed into the lake in my excitement!  :(

Which is very impressive, considering you were on Himmelsdorf :)

I especially enjoy the players who, within 1.5 seconds of the countdown starting, tell me to ATTACK!, followed 1 second later by, DEFEND THE BASE!!

My poor old LolTraktor jerks backwards and forwards so much, all the rivets fall out.

I do seem to recall one evening where I had spilled a rather large amount of toddy on my function keys, which led to a rather hillarious barrage of nonsensical orders on my part. I've never had so many rude messages in my inbox after that. Jolly good times! :great:

It's surprising how much reverse speed you can generate backing down that hill. I was clear into Malinovka before I could stop! Washed all the poop off though, so saved the cost of a car wash!  :)

I like to blow up the tankers on the trains on a couple of maps, very childish fun.

For many, it's the only chance they get to shoot their 'gun'.

I don't know about others but i do it for 2 reasons :

- initially to get that first shot out of the way so that the it becomes more 'real' to me, as my critical thinking goes to sleep after many battles

- to check shell speed, some tanks have very very low shell speed. For instance going from M4A1 Revalorise to T25 Pilot can shock you, so you have to remind yourself how much lead you should give.
