Does your team lose?

Suicide.

There is no point in supporting a losing team. Even if you do a lot damage the XP get 1/2 or 1/4...

Rather kill yourself and start a new game. Saves easily 5-10 Minutes :)

Enjoy

ps. Bonus tipp: support mediums and lights.

Heavies are lemmings, can't push or do even their tanking right by yoloing.

This should increase the chance of winning and even things out.

you can easily apply this to other tank types too.

there is just no point in continuing the battle when you are bottom tier and your team is already 5 tanks down and for the remaining it's unicums vs. tomatoes.

sometimes I take the short exit and by the time the battle ends on a campy map, it's possible that I already scored two good wins with 2 other tanks.

better to save your time than to waste it in fake battles.

I'd rather fight to the last and not be a pussy, but that's just me.

not a retional decision, as you can effectively improve your winrate by exiting a pointless battle early.

'Rational' and hardly, if you kill yourself in every battle that looks like a loss which is quite often, you'll never learn how to carry a game effectively not to mention you'll lose all those games rather than making a stand and turning things around (which happens a lot more than people realise). That said if your attitude towards the game is to throw your toys out when it looks like you may lose your probably more suited to single player games anyways....

bla bla bla

I don't stop fighting when battles just "look like a loss".

I stop when they are beyond being salvaged by anyone remaining in the team, especially by *me* in my *bottom tier tank*.

you just know what happens when you have assault on karelia, all your lights are dead, all your top tiers are dead and the remaining tier 7 enemies laugh purple and blue on your orange and red survivors.

I'd rather increase the repair cost of an enemy tank than drown myself.

If that's the case and they are beyond being salvaged then the chances are you'll be dead within a minute anyway so you're hardly saving much time by killing yourself.

And then the 'loss' turns out to be a win, because those last few survivors you abandoned turned out to be hard carries.  Oops.

Yes, not a common occurrence, but I'll fight with everything I have, even in arties & when on reload.

Not only because it could still turn to a win, but also in the chance of a courageous resistance bonus, treating the game as 'won' by XP earned. Even arties can get this, especially if some of the enemies go for a cap because they don't want to hunt the last arty -> defender medal.

If you quit, expecting a loss, please don't get mad when it still turns into a victory. I had people whining & complaining through PM's that I ruined their daily double, because I had the audacity to win their 'lost' game. Shame on them, should have sticked around then instead of giving up.

some maps are quite campy and sometimes the enemies take unexpectedly long to win, especially when the defenders choose to camp.

then they are stupid.

I wouldn't quit if there were still players of your caliber alive in our team, I'd try to help you turn the game, even if we were only 2 left.

But I don't see the point in wasting time helping a bunch of carmin-red sub-46%ers camping redline behind our cap vs. twice as much enemies with much better ratings if there is no fighting material left on my side.

That's probably the major difference between you and I.

I have pride.

Or you could grow up, stop being a spoiled brat and actually play the game the way it's supposed to be played. How does that sound?

To quote Churchill, the man not the tank...

Never, never, never give up.

If it good enough for the great man it's good enough for me.

Theres also another that also "tickles" me....

You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.

I have an old replay from 2016 where it's just me in S-51 & Grille vs AT-7, VK 3002(D), Nashorn, M4 and Jadgpanzer IV on Kharkov of all maps and we still manage to pull a win. Always go out with a bang.

It's not about pride, it's about fair play. Your team lost: be a sport and let the winners farm that extra XP.

Or look at it the other way: suppose your team has all but won the match. Wouldn't you appreciate being allowed to farm some extra XP and credits?

Watch this to see difference between an arty player that just gives up, and an arty player that makes the difference.

And that, right there, is the problem with players such as yourself.

All you care about are your precious numbers.

Pathetic excuse for essentially being a coward.
