What can be considered illegal use of the API?

if the data we get from the API can some how be used to get an advantage for some clans over others, would it still be a legal thing to do?

Some data are private, but I can't see much more public data, than I can see on wot-website on player or clan profile. Can you tell me, what data could be a problem? What kind of advantage can you see? Sure, it helps me to manage two clans but I don't see any illegal advantage on API data.

BTW: API data have not much in common with in game mods.
