Hi guys,

as a new player who just started playing for some weeks and only has few credits, should I wait for equipment to be on sale before buying them for my tanks? When should I expect equipment to be on sale in the near future?

Always wait until it is on sale then spend all your credits on equipment even if you don't need it right away.  Doesn't matter if you are a new player or not.

You can always sell the equipment when it is back at full price and get all your credits back.

They will probably be on sale this month, they tend to cycle through Equipment then Consumables garage slots barracks slots and so on.

Small events usually have one type of sale less frequent big events can have multiple discounts.

You can often guess what type of discount will be available by checking out the monthly sneak peek.

https://worldoftanks...-peek-may-2018/

5 - 7 May: Commander, take advantage to maintain all crew and vehicle needs! Keep your eyes peeled and get it all under control with all the upcoming missions this weekend.

That could well have equipment discounts and its followed by Military parade which last year had crew training discounts.

I could be wrong but do not think you have long to wait

Pulling a figure completely off the top of my head, about once every 6 weeks, last time was two or three weeks ago.

If you buy equipment tomorrow then it will be on discount this weekend.  That's a certainty.

this and especially for a beginner, discounts are extremly valuable.

equiment is sold at half the (current) price when you sell the tank (not the ones you can remove for free but the rest).

So buying them on discount means you'll get them effectivly for free, without discount  you'll loose half the value.

Don't forget. If you have tanks that you have upgraded the guns, turrets, radios, engines and tracks then you can go to the depot and sell the old ones for extra credits.

All good advise about stocking up, but ...

If you've just bought a new tank and you need a rammer and they are 500k, ask yourself ... how long will it take to grind 250k credits ?  How long will I have to wait to save that ?

The absolute no brainer advice is never spend "lots" of credits on a Friday (or Thursday).

Trust me it's REALLY annoying to pay several Million for a new tank, 1.5M for new equipment and 100k on retraining ... only to discover that it's all on discount the next day and you could have saved 1M credits !!

This is the best advice.

Rammers, vents, GLDs, and vert Stabs are always good.

Also stock up on repair kits and first aid kits.  They may only be 3k each but I can easily use 300 of each between sales and so buy buying 500 of each (1.5M credits) I can save myself 1M credits between sales.

And if I ever need cash I can always sell the Rammers, vents, GLDs, vert Stabs, repair kits and first aid kits for what I paid for them !!

I have a default equipment set for new tanks or at least I did when credits and equipment were in short supply.

I started with a toolbox binoculars and camo net then just swapped them onto whatever tank I was playing.

Luckily back then I was playing a lot of TD games and that equipment set works well for those.

Rammers came next and Vents Optics after that

Later on it was Gun Lay Drive and Vertical stabiliser.

It was a gradual process buying a few of each whenever there was a sale.

Always buy things on special.. never full price.

Stock up on consumables. You can sell them for the same price you paid for them so wont lose anything, in the long run it is far more cost. Effectivento only get things that are on sale
