my question concerning the report system is in the title.

is there any evidence available that even one report will be worked on from somebody of wargaming?

Nope they got banned because of reports for unfair play. The ban wave happened far later (3-4 weeks after the automatic bans)

Inappropriate behavior in chat works. Unsportsmanlike is just for the reporter and does nothing. This is what I believe.

Each report goes through to WGs intricate complaints system and when enough reports for a player are received it lights up a button and WG complaints department deal with it as you can see here.

As soon as you post the sources relevant for your opening post.

Asking for sources whilst blatantly not doing it yourself... actually usually we are not that obnoxious in Germany.

Nope, nothing happens IMO when you report someone.

Total waste of time.

I been threatened with reports on numerous occasions.

Not once has Wargaming contacted me about it.

Yeah just hit the game wreckers with the stuff that may have caused offended feels in writing. This they (the WG staff) understand is bad. They can relate. Because we all know that they don't play the game.

Spoiler

The only thing I've seen to actually work would be automated team-damage thingy ... turn blue / and or insta ban.

Can't honestly say I have any trust in any other of the assorted 'automated stuff' to work.... but you never know ...

Geeez....the OP asked question so there is no point to bash him for not giving any evidence. Do you know the difference between interrogative sentence and declarative sentence? because it doesn't look like you understand a difference.

The OP asked a question and he replied to other guy that answered only 'YES" without being more specific aka giving evidence.

HF

ps.

Reading is one thing but reading with understanding is completely different animal.

No, just like there is no evidence of it working tbh. As I suspect no one here follow the ppl they report to see if they still play.

Unless you feel that everyone you report should be insta banned?

Like pretty much every other game out there, Wargaming does not provide details to every player who has reported a person about what action was undertaken. You may freely disagree with this policy but that's how it is. We simply don't get direct evidence of the consequences of the reports we use.

So let's look at this logically. We know that a report system exists. We also can get a little information about how it works (because Wargaming informs us about this): that it works, essentially, by stacking. If somebody behaves consistently in a manner warranting reports, they should consistently get reported, and proper action will be undertaken once reports reach a certain threshold (whatever that is, we don't know). A single report is likely ineffective so that Wargaming support does not have to deal with (too many) frivolous reports, just 'cause somebody had a bad day or didn't like somebody's stats.

So as players we're left a bit in the dark about this. We do know that sometimes people get punished (from for example their own posts like Dr_ownape) but usually evidence is sparse, and few people will publically admit they got punished for violating rules (weird huh). However there is one simple conclusion we can draw from what we actually know about the system: it relies on consistent reporting to work, so logically, without consistent reporting, it can't work. If you do not report people because you believe the system does not work, the idea that the system does not work becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. The assumption leads to no reports, reports are required for the system to work, so no reports causally leads to the system not working, therefor the assumption that the system does not work leads to the system not working.

The only logical recourse is to simply report players appropriately, hope everyone else does too, and hope the system works as a consequence. And let's face it, it's 2 clicks to report someone, let's not pretend it's effort.
