What's not to like? Even solves the age-old ""bug"" of consumables/ammo reverting to gold purchase when SerB's dacha needs more gold-plated taps the game feels like it.

Gonna be interesting to see what this leads to.

Hey Guys!

I don't see any diffierence. You can get the premium ammo for credits and it was always possible. Few rounds on premium tank and then enjoy E100 etc. full of premium ammo.

I would really enjoy playing much more if premium ammo wouldn't be an option at all.

Have fun!

Andy

Well, meh? The only change is that once premium rounds bought with gold have been spent, you can change them without getting into a conflict with the whole changing something people spent real money on. People can still convert their gold directly to credits and buy the shells at the exact same price. Won't actually change anything until you actually change premium shells.

Couldn't agree more. Before you could buy premium rounds with credits very few people used them at all. Nowadays it seems like a crutch that a lot of people rely on to get anything done, instead of changing their tactics up.

nothing much will change, since 99,67% of the players pay it with credits anyway

what needs to be done is make the ammo types balanced penwise, but each having its own advantages... just a quick example... like APCR has biggest velocity but loses most pen with range, AP being heavier than apcr and having more kinetic energy loses less pen over distance but has less shell velocity, HEAT has best normalization and slightly better pen but is bad against tracks also should have similar velocity to ap

Doesn't APCR and AP in general lose pen over distance ? and HE doesn't ?

Thanks,

Just to clarify.....does this mean to remove the option to buy ammo/consumables for Gold but still leave them available for credits?

If so, I can't see it making any difference as I don't know anyone who buys ammo/consumables for Gold anyway.

Or is this just a way to reduce the negative perception of the game being labeled as 'P2W'?

edit: Just entered the game to check and option to buy with Gold is gone, just buy with credits only. I never bought using Gold except in Beta(with free Gold).....so I don't think it will make any difference as I'll still carry the same loadout of ammo for hard cases....four premium rounds on each tank.

It sux as a lot of players shooting prem ammo will be loosing credits (red end result / red ballance) which will frustrate them and stop playing = Serb has to sell dacha and has to live on yacht in Monaco 24/7

AT THIS MOMENT, this change is completely irrelevant. Hopefully it leads somewhere though...

On a positive note....it will stop players Gold accidentally disappearing on ammo if they change turrets and forget to reset to buy ammo with credits.

I don't see why this would make any difference to be honest. Can still buy premium ammo.

Wait for next update for premium ammo re-balancing.

Just came across a P 43 player. Tier 5 Italian Tank.

He was top tier in a 3, 5, 7 match.

Yet he spammed nothing but gold the whole game.

So its no change as far as stopping gold spam is concerned.

So...how would it help to increase Gold ammo prices....you would have died anyway in a paper tank with standard ammo. All that happened was the killer had a bigger ammo bill for killing you.
