I would say that uninstalling the mod and reporting it should do the trick...

Can I get a link to this mod? ;)

Haven't read the forum rules but it might be unwise to post a picture like that.

Well, your game looks a lot better than mine does!

Also, which one did you pick? Or did you just go solo?

To be fair, Norton would probably identify its own executable as a virus, it's always seemed to run on the better-safe principle.

The versions I downloaded from the wgmods.net site and Solo's own site both came up clean in a Kaspersky sweep (Rusha bias, obviously) but it looks as though you've got an in-game browser exploit that popped up a couple of patches ago so it's probably a URL redirect rather than a virus. It was caused by a mod from another author that had been included in a package without being checked by the package compiler. Below is a quote from one of the threads addressing it.

First mod packer Aslain started to sort Mods out.

REF LINK   go there and look whats in the Changelog:

v9.22.0.1 #10 (22-02-2018):

- reverted PYmodsCore to an older version [critical to all users of modpack #07-#09 who are installing one of following Polyacov_Yury mods: radial menu, ut announcer, tank lights, colored chat kill msgs, camo selector. Unfortunately the author of that mods has added recently an uwanted connection to his website that is loading ads and creating suspicious and unwanted traffic in background using the game process]

Of course, nothing I've said in this post should be taken as any sort of condoning of it being included in the pack or of the pack not being checked properly before being made available through the official portal. Goes to show that having a list of named mods that are approved offers zero protection against infection.

Hello,

This thread is moved to ' Mods'  section, under the 'Community Area' subforum.

Thank you,

VMX

The version on the wot portal seems outdated. The new patched version should be fine.

I open source all my mods. Other people can have a look at the code if they so please.

Some modders however take measures to make it as hard as possible for you to get your hands on the source code. I wonder what they are hiding...

algorithms perhaps. Not all the devs embrace open source with open arms. One just have to remember that mod and modpack authors have a number of ways to inject unwanted content. So, player still have a responsibility to evaluate the mods he/she is using.
