Evening all

about ten weeks or so to go .who has their tickets and who is going?

looking forward to the annual canteen meet during the midday break(would be good for  a few WG employees to pop in as  the gold shell will be available not sure which malt whiskey is filling it this year )

we are staying at a campsite in the village of wool arriving Friday leaving Monday, so if any others are in or near wool we could meet in the beer garden of one of the local pubs to demolish a burger and beers

hopefully the challenger will be there again always good to see him.

hail hail

any car shares etc on the go

Not impossible I might be there.  Last time I turned up the Black Prince broke down, that's British unionised work for you.

I won't be going as I'm an AI created by WG to make the forums look balanced.

Gah. Was going to create this thread a little closer to the time.

I and some clanmates (4 in the UK, two from Netherlands and one from Norway) will be staying a little further away, at a site in the south coast proper (Rosewall Camping, Osmington Mills)
You can't walk to tankfest like you can from Wool, but the views certainly make up for it!

Anyone is welcome to join us. I at least will be there Tuesday-Monday.

@nutter we should properly arrange the pub this time.

Good to finally meet in person, you didn't make it last time you said you were going (about the time of that O-I thread)

When have they ever had the Black Prince out?

It's not been out for the last 5 years at least.

Though I have seen quite a few breakdowns.

That pop!

I went to tankfest last year and was amazed. There were tanks everywhere running around the arena 100 feet away and all these pot-bellied pasty nerds in meme tshirts spent the whole day queuing up at a wargaming booth so they could play tanks.

It boggles the mind how some people behave. It's like when people go to a concert and spend the whole time holding their phone up recording the thing instead of enjoying the moment.

I'd love to catch one of these tankfests, I haven't even seen a tank up close tbh. I just haven't the time to fly over unfortunately. Enjoy and take plenty of pics of the tanks and upload them for us :) Try not to get escorted out for drunken tomfoolery like trying to jump onto a passing tank during the show and go "waaaaa look at me! In Rasha, tank drives you!"

It's worth catching it at a quiet time.

Especially when you are there multiple days and you've seen that bit of the show before.

I’m going this year for the 1st time as a (milestone) birthday present. Bringing the missus and kids along. Looking forward to seeing loads of tanks in action. Did Tiger day last year and really enjoyed that. Can’t wait to see even more tanks this time!

I was at a Cyndi Lauper concert where she halted the concert for 10 min or so to rant on that very subject. While I agree with you on the wargaming booth, merely holding a phone up at a concert does not preclude enjoying the concert, any more than using binoculars to see the stage better does so. Heck even before binoculars, there were opera glasses.....

On topic, I would really love to go, but my wife is not so into that. Some day, though....
