So u remove arty platoons but still put 3 *edit artys per team in each god damn game....u cant even move on prohorovka or malinovka....hide behind a rock and camp for 15min....i hate camping and i hate a *edit rain of fire on my head...one arty per team should be fine imo

Well that just doesn't make any sense at all.

How the hell do you expect us to focus fire on you with just one arty?

Did you played with me before you open this topic? i was several times on Prohorovka and Malinovka with arty tonight. :D

Yes limit arty to one, and zero on city maps!

Additionaly make them bottom tier or at least don't make them top tier in a 3-5-7 matchup!

I agree that they must limit arty in cities...we don't like cities. :D

Nothing new in this thread but i still agree with OP :) Arty should be capped to one per team. 3 artys are just frustrating and promotes more camping.

I play a lot with arty and I agree too. I like to click but when i play other tanks its frustrating. I just played with italians and 3 artys wrecked me, but in grand battles should be more. i played once grand battle like single arty and it's pain in the @ss, both of us (artys) died pretty fast.

as an arty player, I love games with three arty.  Counter battery is fun.  If you had good arty players they would know to do the same. However, its a lose-lose for arty players. If we don't help because you can't take care of yourself, we're noobs. If we do help and not try and blind click enemy arties, we're noobs.  Learn to talk to your guys, or even suggest where enemy arties are sitting.  They're one-shots so we don't mind taking them out to help the team.  I have to say it's fun when an OP heavy comes rolling in and three arties can sustain fire and coordinate an attack to halt his advance.  Usually the team is grateful.

The problem on those maps isn't that hiding behind rocks and camping needs to be done to prevent being hit by arty, because arty can in fact hit you just fine if you camp behind rocks and ridges on those maps.

 

The problem on those maps is that moving out from behind cover gets you shot by everyone else, and possibly arty right after 'cause you're the one who got spotted. These maps are campmaps, it's nothing to do with arty, it's to do with huge open firing lines and two bush-laden firing locations that everyone camps at 'cause that's how you play that map. The only reason people don't kemp bush 100% of the time, or for sake of "variation" kemp hulldown hole, is because they know they get artied if they get spotted so they actually move.

 

Or were you honestly going to claim that driving 5m back and forth to peek over a ridge to fire your gun isn't camping? Or that peeking over the hilltop so center campers can shoot their campers has nothing to do with camping? Arty makes people move because they know they're unsafe. Deal with it... and stick to the arty thread discussion next time, it's there for this crap.

Since SPGs at least account for 8% of all tanks played, there are 2.4 of them in each battle on average, that is 1.2 on each team. Since there are some battles without SPGs, naturally there will be 2-3 in others.
