Was annoyed in the 2nd game though, some RSOP dude got 100XP more than me so took all the medals with over 100 bonds so I only got 25 bonds :izmena:

 

Given games last 20+ minutes I'd imagine you would have earned the same or more in the 3/4 random games you could have played in the same time so I'm seeing credit earnings as broadly neutral.  Bonds seem generous but I thing they're being nerfed in today's patch.

It must print credits like crazy in frontline :medal:.

 

Personally i dont have many prem tanks,only spaggeto and superpershing ( :trollface:).

 

So i use spagetto/amx 50 100 offensively and jpanther2/isu 152 defensively.Still making nice credits and having a chance to drive tanks that i rarely play.

I want to like my WZ-120FGT but that aimtime and accuracy is a killer. plus 6 gundep really sucks.

Indeed I played some progetto games last night......all tier X.....i had some good games tho

On the other side of things in tier 7 seem to get nice mm

I think that the only reason that it won't be released as a permanent game mode is the fact that it's credit positive.  To have it as such permanently will mean that players grinding credits will only play this mode as they will never lose credits.  This would lead to a decline of some sort to the standard mode.

OFC, if it's fun and suits the players then it's bad for WG. I only hope it won't come back with adjusted profitability. Naturally that would mean the demise of this mode.

Shooting standard ammo in 2018 though...

Actually fairly easy to crush enemies with. Must be played at mid range, with ambushes and a lot of mobility. Then it works wonders. Did 14k on one game without respawning (had to refill ammo once though). Held C for maybe 10 minutes, we won and I got to be general. Fun all around (except for my enemies, I imagine, they seemed a bit frustrated...).

 

To the main topic: I personally love frontline. It is dynamic, the player density per square kilometer is lower and that gives you plenty of options. Teams are more even, due to the larger team sizes and failure on one front doesn't end the game, like in randoms. Regarding credit earnings, they seem to be alright. The main point is to spot your own damage and not rely too heavily on other players to snipe. Playing my triumvate of terror (Progetto, Objekt 252, and my WZ120FGT) works beautifully, making 200k+ credits. Even had a 300k match. Throwing in my Caernavon and T34 for some hull-down defense works well too and can shift a game. Tank decisions play a large role and you can change a front with one smart move or a good flank in a firepower-heavy medium tank or a mobile TD (Skorp G or Charioteer).

 

Edit2: The variety of terrain is also great. Pushing through the city towards the last objective in a brutal slug-fest against entrenched enmies with a few smart players popping "inspire" is a memorable experience. The open terrain at the start and on the right and left flanks are nice, when combined with the corridors of the middle. What really gives it a solid dynamic is the amount of crossing points between the zones, so that fast tanks can actually reinforce a failing sector. (End Edit2)

 

The game mode has definitely brought me back into the game, since it is really fun and rewards tactics a lot more. I also enjoy the longer matches as the games are rarely a forgone conclusion and have their ups and downs. Really hope that it becomes a standar game mode. I also really support the decision to make it Tier 8 instead of 10. Still unsure how it will affect the matchmaker for randoms though, so we will see.

 

Edit 1: Ah yes, there is a bit of spawn camping going on and the "red zones" are passable for enemies, once the first timer has run its course. This should be changed. Other than that I love the mode.
