Hi guys and gals.

I didn't play the game for about 6 months and now after update 1 I start playing it again.

The game looks great and I really like it.

But recently I have a very high ping and loss in WoT.

In the best conditions I have about 200-300 ms and lots of loss and my tank freezing then jumping somewhere else! :( Almost unplayable.

I playing WoWs with 90-100 ms ping and CS GO with 130 ms ping and I have no problem there.

I don't have a very high speed internet connection but I have problem just in this game.

Maybe the servers become less stable?

Is there anything that I can do to improve my ping and enjoy the game?

P.S, please don't tell me to call to your ISP or go and change your ISP, etc etc! xD

Thanks in advance and I appreciate it. :)

I would suggest making sure all your drivers are up to date.

Also make sure you are running nothing but WoT while playing, ie dont do any downloading, surfing, etc.

Also try to ensure no one else is using your connection for other activities.

Plus the usual advice of using a wired connection to your router.

Download and run Pingplotter to the WoT servers. A quick search on the forum should give you the IP Addresses. Then post the result here and I am sure someone will interpret it for you.

I used pingplotter and I see some IPs with some Packet Lose. How can I know what is that IP and how to fix this?

I find IPs from here:

http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Servers

I checked both EU1 and EU2 IPs and I have no respond from EU2!

All drivers are up to date and I close all my background softwares to make sure those apps doesn't create any lags.

Also, I turned of the WiFi on the router and there are no any other device connected to router.

I did run pingplotter and I have the test result. But is that safe to share the result? Because there are some IPs and I don't know if it's safe to share or not! :)

If you’re really concerned just blank out the address of the first hop. The screenshot should give an idea of where the problem is.

Also if you use the game launcher, close it after you start the game. It can make a big difference.

IP 92.223.1.102: http://imageupload.co.uk/images/2018/05/11/92.223.1.102bb7f7.png

This is the EU2 IP tests:

IP 185.12.240.110: http://imageupload.co.uk/images/2018/05/11/185.12.240.1109f48f.png

IP 185.12.240.140: http://imageupload.co.uk/images/2018/05/11/185.12.240.1404f2b5.png

Yes, the IPs are useless to anyone wanting to hack you.  Even the first one (which will start 192.168. or 10.) can't be accessed from outside your network.

Can you do the traces using logn.p1.worldoftanks.eu and login.p2.worldotanks.eu

There's nothing useful on the ones you have posted apart from there's a jump in ping where (I'm guessing) your ISP joins the internet.

I can't put those two. It says "Invalid trace target."

Ok, I fixed the above error! I had a typo!

Here is the test result:

I'm not sure if this is coincidence or even the same issue or not but I'm experiencing huge ping spikes when in game as well. It alternates from being fine ( 45ms approx) then suddenly it freezes (ping goes up to 650ms approx) and I end up driving in the direction I hadn't even intended. I don't think its anything to do with my network but I was just wondering if anyone else had started getting the same behaviour.

Obviously it's very significant when 2 players out of 100.000+ have connectivity issues... You mention you don't think it's your network. Why not? On what do you base this exactly? Why would ping spikes experienced by other players be the same behavior, rather than similar? Without proper testing (which I'm guessing you did not bother with) it's impossible to say it's the same, and thus on Wargaming end, or merely similar, and thus down to individual circumstances (so local), ISP, or higher Tier network (before reaching the server or other Wargaming related networks).

@OP: Stating that other games work just fine matters very little, unless they can be used to compare tracing results (e.g. network routing from your PC to the server). Different games will run on different servers, possibly provided by different companies using different hardware and provider, in different locations (cities, countries) thus requiring different routing to get to.

That's much more helpful.

The packet loss from hop2 on the first trace appears to carry on all the way down.  I say appears because the rest is such a mess it could be hiding something.

On the second trace however you have that one node with no packet loss suggesting that the trouble starts at hop 9. It's none internet addressable so has to be inside your ISP's network.

TL-DR talk to your ISP, or just get one not based on tin cans and wet string.

Thanks for the answer guys.

Well, I think I have to deal with it or stop playing... :(

I talked to my ISP about my ping and they said: "We can't do anything about your ping! This is not in our hand!" :/
