Well... as a very big fan of this gamemode I would like to create a discussion about if you guys feel that it's a good idea or not, to limit when the players can play it and so on, or if it should be reduced or just removed completely? or maybe made available for longer on one server to budge people together late at night and early in the day

It should definitely be increased, but that could increase queue times. it's 60 people instead of 30 and it's a new mode. although, I have not had any queue problems so I'd like to see them increase playing hours

I'm hopeful that the downtime is to allow the devs time to get in and make fixes for any issues that pop up when it's active.

althought it is true that the que timers could increase in the off hours it would be more effective then to say EU2 is always available so if people want to play frontline all the players will be in que

I suspect the limited window is linked to the rewards.  If it was available 24/7 then some players would have hit rank 30 four times already.

 

I suspect it also helps reduce queue wait times (in all modes).

I just got to rank 27 and thats with a long time playing it.

This. It keeps queue populated.

People would get discourages if they had to sit in long queues late at night or early in the morning. Also, imagine losing after sitting in queue for 20+ minutes... This could stop them from trying Frontline at all.

Despite how it looks, WG was smart this time to limit the availability of new game mode. Limiting it, makes people play it more because queues are short and people can't spam it until they get bored of it (it's one map after all).

It makes sense currently to limit the time and gather data on server population and if a lot of people are trying to get into Frontline they can extend the hours later. For now they just want to get people playing to bugfix/tweak game parameters.

They should fix bugs on (Super)test Server and not push this piece of junk to production, without a proper stresstest.

Schedule downtime or have the game unavailable for maintenance every morning. Fairly straightforward choice when it's a completely new mode, new stresses, etc.

I suspect WG don't have 150,000 stress testers available at peak times for bandwidth, not just for this game but across the entire region. They can run it with bots to simulate load but all you're going to get from that is some understanding of how it performs with a load of bots running locally. For all we know, it may have exceeded anything they'd hoped to get the moment it was switched on.

I highly doubt that's the case with this mode. There is pretty much no reason to rig there - no ultimate reward like for example the T-22 with Rampage, same credit rewards for winning or losing and cant do missions. What would be the point in rigging?

In my opinion it is to ensure the queue times are not too long considering the 60 players needed for the match and WG does have a record of badly implemented game modes. After four weeks they can review and improve.

Quite a lot of potential for converging on a tile, taking it in turns to shoot & repair/respawn & farm damage (credits) for the duration of the game.

at least I managed to do 1 battle today and yesterday before cease fire...

SH has limitations.

Advances have limitations.

I am only able to play late at night, typically until the morning when I go to rest. That's just how I live. Ceasefire starts just about RIGHT about when I am able to start playing.

 

Today I found some time to play earlier just to see what FL feels like and I loved it. Got three games out of it.

 

With all that said - I am paying for Premium subscription, but WarGaming will not allow me to even play a game mode that I want. Which only be available for a limited time only, none the less.

Want to prevent long queue lines? I don't give a damn about them. Better go fix such disasters as Object 268 v4, tier VIII matchmaking calamity and so forth if you want to stop screwing up the game and losing players.

 

Ceasefire? Attacking issue from the wrong end, boys.

 

Very disappointed.
