Hello, it was fine and quite refreshing to have this garage on May 8th and even on May 9th. But to listen to Winston Churchill over and over and ove and over really gets to my nerves (Yes, Sir Winston, i know you have an information from General Eisenhower, you told me at least hunderd times).  Any idea how to get back the forrest garage? Thanks.

It is a shame, but I do believe you can't.

Unless you want to download one of the many garage mods ofc.

Oh it's Winston....

I thought it was that station announcer off the movie Robots.

Someone did post about changing back to forest...

You can quit the garage screen by pressing the battle button.

Go to the folder you installed the game and open the res\packages subfolder. Copy hangar_v3.pkg over hanger_victory_day.pkg and hangar_v3_hd.pkg over hanger_victory_day_hd.pkg. That's it, on starting the game you'll be back in the woods.

You probably only need to copy one of those but for me it was the plain version that worked despite my having the HD client installed, so copying both of them isn't going to hurt anything. Remember to backup the Victory Day hanger files first if you want to revert the change.

HD one takes less space too. So idk what does what of those two. But they both look the same to me. But when the event is over, it will revert back to the "real" forest anyway. So it matters little.

I stand corrected - this technical jibbery-joo escapes me I'm afraid.

Just set ambient sound to 0. I never even knew there was anyone talking to begin with, just like I haven't heard the cuckoo bird for a while.

Thing is, I like having ambient sound in battles, even though I don't hear it very often. It's only in the garage that it gets annoying.

Although WG still haven't topped the 2015 Halloween garage that was cartoon-spooky but had excellent sounds so that if you were wearing headphones, occasionally you might hear a voice calling from the other side of the room. That made me turn around a couple of times to see who was there.

Today is Victory in Europe Day. Tomorrow will also be Victory in Europe Day. But let us not forget for the moment that for the duration of this weekend it will be Victory in Europe Day. And on the last day I will lie and tell you that tomorrow is also Victory in Europe Day even though that will not be true since the event will end but I will NOT change my speech accordingly.

Hearing the same speeches over and over again is more annoying than the Christmas accordion guy.

However I find it less annoying than the bloody bee or fly or whatever it is that periodically buzzes by your ear on the outdoor  camp map.
