Are the 105mm guns bad or is it just me. E50s and pattons and exception but everything else just miss miss hit miss.

It's been a question for a long time just never bothered to ask it. And playing the amx 30 prot has just made me want to rip out the last remaining of my hair :(

But that's the thing with 105mm guns, even if you do miss you'll have next shell ready fairly quickly. It's much less punishing than randomly missing a shell in Obj 705A or FV4005 where you have to spend next 15-20 seconds twiddling your thumbs.

The only problem with 105mm guns (and 120 mm ones) is that you don't get as much overmatch options as with stronk-russia 122mm ones.

or as much as german 12.8cm, or jap 14cm or english 183mm. It's a smaller cliber hence less overmatch. Nation doesn't mean nothing. It's just math...

On topic, all gun have the same probability distribution inside the reticle so, as soon as the reticles have the same dimention, a 105 and a 240 gun will have the same chance to miss or hit. Maybe you just expect it to hit more so looks inaccurate to you...

I feel you. It used to be my favorite tank, but now it is garbage. As usu Wg made changes that noone requested. They made a paper medium with poor traverse into a brawler...

The accuracy on the prot is trash and the aimtime feels much worse. However, the main issue i have with it is the Edited nerf to the shell speed. Combine that with poor pen and crap accuracy means this tank is very unreliable at range and for sniping moving targets.

Tanks like the tier 9 skoda works with low pen because of burst damage and nice shell speed.

Keep in mind that this tank was renowned in real life for the speed of it's shells. WG in their infinite wisdom decided we can't have 2 tanks that have the leopard play style, even though they were developed together....simply amazing.

122mm or 122mm can overmatch same armours in game though.

I don't think there exist a single piece of armour where that calibre difference is noticeable.

The next jump is from 150mm guns to 152mm guns.

Calibres between 122 and 150 are, from overmatch point of view, almost identical.

Well, americans have lots of strange thickness around. 38mm roof that even 120mm gun can overmatch, or the 44mm plate just in front of the turret in T110E5 that can get overmatched by 14cm jap gun, just to name some.

But yeh, usually the overmatch class jump by 30mm because normal nations using the international system increase armour plating by 10mm each step...

Bad soft stats and APCR default ammo is just horribad for avery tank and nation. Even Kranvagn 120mm APCR sucks hard.

Even fully aimed shots go all over the place. and then if by the will of SerB u hit - APCR and angled armor doesnt fair very well -> it bounces.

Yes, it is "funny" how many tanks have 40mm of side or roof armour.
