Last two days at 3.00pm every battle I join 45 secs after the start - EXACTLY 45 seconds - not 44 or 46 - hopeless if you are playing lights. Anyone else had this?? Checked t'internet that's OK.

Seems ok to me.  You tried changing servers?  Also, you can do some simple tests to work out if it's WG's end or yours, have you done any of these (like trace routes etc)?

Also, have you tried running the client in safe-mode?

Starting late like that is usually down to a pc being too potato. What's the specs of whatever you're playing WoT on?

There was a thread or two about the slow loading a while back. Defragging wot folder seemed to help. Loading into first game of session is always slower than the other rest.

I had the same problem after the last patch as in when the new engine was being used my gaming laptop for some reason decided to use the integrated  graphic chip and not the high end GPU.

Don't rely on Windows defragger for gaming using a spinning metal disk.

My recommendation is defraggler, though there are others.

After 1.0 landed, a defrag speed up the load times by ~30s for me.

WOT has always been sensitive to fragmentation.

The new patch only makes it more so

Yes i've had that problem. I just do what Commander Data does and turn off my emotion chip. It helps a lot!

Good idea. Can't see what could possibly go wrong with that.

This is the bit I meant. It really sums up the start of a battle in WOT

Do you have some process scheduled for 3pm?  Virus scan, backup, etc?

Well something is dragging it down. SSD? HDD? Defrag anything WOT is on? If you run the system monitor at 3pm.. does anything besides WOT pull resources? Scheduled update? Scan? As those can pull a bit too.

3pm is default time to install updates for Windows.

Also defrag check if enabled.

Scratch that, thats 3AM
