Why stop there? Why not a consumable that makes you immune to all damage? After all, can't have the paint on your precious tank scratched, now can we?

Just pick a VKP. i have done 0 damage direct hits to that broken stupid tank in my arty multiple times. even saw one LIVE threw 3 direct arty Strikes in Front Line.

You can't just have a consumable that's supposed to have minor effect in battle cancel out a whole class.

Or a consumable that makes arty players getting stuns with strobe flashes on their monitors after they click.

Give or take the arty warning "This tank tech-tree has flashing scenes that certain clickers will find disturbing!"

Sign me up! I can even stretch it to arty being able to detrack players as long as stun/damage is cancelled out. Either this or make spall liner actually useful against arty damage.

This give to spall liner more power. Like instead of adding 50% more armour, further reduce the damage by 50% after armour reduction.

Would really prefere this to a consumable. :)

 

Even if I like a lot the icon of your consumable! :trollface:

10 000? I suspect most would be willing to pay 200 000 for a consumable like that.

I like that idea.  A piece of equipment that reduces the effect arty has.  They could give it a snazzy name like "Spall Liner".

A whole class that is not very popular and gets a huge amount of hate from the playerbase, seems fine to me.

 

Fair also, arty has no counter, I can do nothing about getting clicked on, I can't magically zoom to the back of the map to kill arty, so why shouldn't I have a consumable that counters them directly.

The only new consumable I'd be up for is the one that nukes all enemy arty.

The idea has merit, but needs balancing.

 

Yes the consumable should be the same cost as the others.

 

I agree it should be a consumable. It makes the choice of which consumable to put into one of the three slots more interesting.

 

But there should be a balancing factor. I suggest the following detail;

1. The consumable is not usuable by spg's. - Afterall we want to encourage counter battery fire.

2. The consumable only works for heavy tanks driving faster than 10 kmh (so if standing still they take full spg damage)

3. The consumable only works for medium tanks driving faster than 20 kmh (so if a medium is loitering they take full spg damage).

4. The consumable only works for light tanks driving faster than 30 kmh (so if a light sits in an obvious bush for too long they get damaged, this encourages active scouting).

5. The consumable only works for tds if they are unspotted. [The problem I have with this one is the difference between assault tds, and sniper tds. The snipers need protection from spg fire, whilst the assault td's need to be the target of spg fire due to their massive frontal armour, but that rather discriminates against the assault tds]

 

I fully accept that it would be possible to alter the kmh numbers to balance the suggestion better.

 

PS to ID_100 I love the art work on the consumable icon, good choice, although I feel that WG would not approve.
