Hello guys today for the first time  I started the game with 1.0 update and I'm expearncing very slow loading of the battles, but the battle itself is running well with 80 fps. Everything is on high with shadows on low, anti aliasing and motion blur off. My computer specs are: AMD FX4300 QUAD CORE 3,8 ghz, NVIDIA GTX 750Ti 2GB, RAM 8GB. With this spec I think I'm suppose to run the game allmost on maximum settings.

See https://peteronprogr...-times-on-hdds/

And those specs are maybe ok for medium graphics, but quite underpowered for max details.

Long loading times are a known problem, we're still waiting for a solution from WG. There's a workaround that involves putting a couple of the sound package files on an SSD or RAM disk, that's brought loading times back to pre-1.0 for me.

It is honestly unrealistic to expect such a big update to go without any issue. Developers released a whole new engine, some bugs are bound to happen.

I will try to disable the music and see how it's loading. I don't even now why I left it on when I usually play without music.

And sorry for the "gays" I didn't notice it.

Tried 1.0 on HDD, loaded into battle 0 to 15 seconds after it had started.

On SSD loads in before countdown starts.

1.0 is more demanding on hardware, especially storage type, but once loaded there is no discernible difference.

Or just defrag. I'm usually in before the countdown on spinning rust.

I've defragged my WoT folder after every update and still have to move the sound files to my SSD. I should probably defrag the whole drive but it's 2TB and I get bored, need my tanky fix.

According to TAP there's a micropatch on RU tomorrow but no patch notes yet. I'm hopeful that this will do more than bugger up everyone's mods again (yes, new sub-folders coming with it).

For me the long loading time went away after a couple of days, it happened on the test server and after each update.

My theory for what its worth is that its this preloading the game does now.

I was thinking the first few times we load the game it has to download and maybe decompress data and after that its mostly stored on our PCs.

Yep, in about 10 seconds or so after the countdown has started after reinstalling on a slightly better HDD.

What games have you developed?  It's okay to criticise a games developer.  Criticism is useful and can be very constructive.  Flat insults are just childish and show a complete lack of understanding or even an attempt to convey a point.

i didn't develop any game, however i delivered several projects (even sw related) and i am pretty sure they had to rush the development (mostly because the marketing etc.)and they either didnt have time to fix bugs or they just didnt pay enough attention

that is obvious. there are however projects which delivered release in better quality than this 1.0 patch so yes, nothing special but they cant expect people to be happy if they released something which they KNEW was not working 100%

there is difference between regular updates to the game in form of new content or functionality and slacked release with critical issues

majority games im also before the countdown starts and some i can hear last 2 ticks while still loading and i log in right as the battle starts

one exception is first battle of the session, which is slow always

The same problem have been resolved by installing the game on 128 GB SSD.

And my system is still on HDD.

I moved the sound packages off my SSD back to the game folder to see whether there's any improvement with the micropatch. First battle and I loaded in with 1s left on the countdown, every subsequent battle I'm loading in with about 15s to go. Massive improvement over what it was previously. :great:
