Its possibly you, or maybe camping is more prevalent at higher tiers. I dont seem to see much camping when playing my T5-7's. Other than on Provka of course.

Has the game become a camp fest? There is no more camp today than one year ago. The amount of camping depends mainly on the map and tier imo.

Not sure we can trust the judgement of someone who thinks Glacier is a bad, corridor map.

Players have been camping since day 1 in WoT.  Usually it's the 'not so good' players who camp a lot and they are of no concern to good players.

Biggest camp are tier X now and maps like minesProkhorovka and sand river must camp by td and some meds.

Most players consider that driving around like headless chickens is the normal way to play the game, 'have medium tank will travel' is their motto. So a change isn't so bad if players stop and think for a while, see how the game is developing, and don't die early. But the real answer is you've got to look at events that are on and how this will affect play overall. For example the the Top of The Tree is a TD, many players will be grinding low tier TD's in order to bag their v4, so perhaps many inexperienced TD players clogging the game up, and there are only so many bushes to go around.

In 3 arty games I camp no matter what I'm in, even in Maus I'll just camp behind some rocks or cover

So your ideal map is what then? You were complaining earlier about corridor maps, and now you are complaining about bushes. So what then? You want flat featureless fields?

It's not only the bushes,

flattening of the maps made a lot of the campy positions more relevant,

before the HD maps I pretty much knew I can't get shot by base campers in X position.

Now it's a different story, with a lot of those positions, and a lot of the maps.

Usable terrain, i want some bushes, but not bushes all over the place. Basically more or less how the open maps where before 1.0, there where bushes but sparsely spread throughout the whole map. Overpowered positions didn't have enough bush cover to doublebush, making them even more overpowered. Right now it's a mess and the bushes where put for the sake of cosmetics rather than gameplay, which is [edited]pathetic.

What I mean with usable terrain? Maps like Redshire for example, nice topography, all accessible.

Should be possible to check.

Use vbaddict or wot-news, try to find average battle time in current WOT  (last week or something) and compare to 1 year ago, or 2 years ago.

Didn't notice. Sometimes a certain location can be a bit too campy at high tiers when there's some doomcannon at the end of it. I must say I'm personally not too inclined to venture into the wild too much when there's an unspotted shitbarn or jpe100 around where I want to go.

At low tiers there's always been a ton of camping. Usually inexperienced players who don't know the maps well enough yet and get deleted every time they take a wrong turn, thus they conclude sitting where they tend not get absolutely shat on is a the way to go. Can't really blame them, but it's a bit annoying the "noob-protection" isn't a bit more elaborate to split them from the more experienced players so they don't get absolutely hammered for every mistake.

It looks like those window lickers are trying to get to their usual spot but their ai wayfinder crashes because they can't find the usual route so just stay where they are.

Not sure about camp fest, but you're certainly turning the forums into a whine fest :)

Cause and Effect.

The toppics on this very forum are an effect, caused by the discomfort people experience

Love your videos man...

@OP. Not really, game has always been campy. Simply due to the complete lack of any form of usable tutorial and the ability for a completely new player to purchase and play high tiers without ever learning the game.
