Had they introduced a Premium KV2 with 6 BIA crew members for say £12 the game would be flooded with them.

There would be lots of 3 man KV2 platoons and the forum would be flooded with posts expressing anger about WG being stupid.

Don't You think that EVERYONE who wants to play with KV-2 can do it in a week?

And ALL who want to play with KV-2, PLAY with it already? :P

My first reaction was yuck, but after some time I think it's fine except for the ridiculous price.

Actually I feel like this skin fits in way better than the purple base paint Mausses or tanks with mixed camos. Now those are the things that broke the game visually and you can't even avoid them with the historical check box.

Premium KV2? Great Idea. BIA Crew? Great idea. Custom skin? Great Idea. WH40k Custom Skin? Terrible idea. I really don't understand what you were thinking here - people who play WH40k already have a plethora of games and will be playing this already if it interests them.

The price? Honestly Wargaming - worst idea of the lot. Terribly, terribly overpriced for something you can get entirely free without the skin job. If it were competitively priced with the other Berlin tier 6's I would snap this up but this? Ridiculous. Don't buy it guys. Wargaming will absolutely listen to that.

 KV-2 Valhallan Ragnarok Offers

Ok if you did this for the Swedish or the Germans but the Russians... What?? How, what ?? that the Russians is suddenly Vikings???

The Viking Rurik from Sweden founded Russia, but Russia never been any Vikings...

Actually if you want to get quite specific, then Russia did have quite a few Viking settlements at one point along the rivers. Such that Viking could easier restock while raiding.

Really? A premium KV-2 and then you give it this skin? Come on!

How about you release a regular KV-2 as premium, you know tons of people are waiting for a premium version of this tank.

In the past the community on EU has made clear we don't want these clown tanks on the server yet you still persist.

=====

This whole situation would be pretty much far less of an issue if we could purchase a premium KV-2 with a normal skin (Captured German skin?) that was historical and would not have it's price artificially inflated because Warhammer royalties needed to be paid.

If "Disable none-historical elements" would then just switch the Warhammer model for the historical one there would be no issue what-so ever.

Cobra 6

You can turn off non historical skins in options, plus if you want premium KV2 you can buy this one and demount the cammo so it will be a regular KV2 tank and put a historical cammo on the KV2. I admit the price tag for tier 6 KV2 is laughable.

Well that is the issue, not only is the price artificially inflated because of a skin (somewhat understandable) but also because it's bundled with a crew (that many people don't need). An offer with just the tank + skin would have been much better.

Yep, You are right... But....

Why must I pay 15 Eur for the additional option I do not need and I wouldn't use?

Please wg make another skin but this time for chaos space marines.

Or make the 40k tanks that are in blitz.I would love to have a predator or a vindicator or even a leman russ tank.

Or you could make a gamemode in coop with GW for special 40k tank battles so noone would cry on the forums that they have to see clown tanks.

To be honest I don't get why so many are upset...

1) It's a normal tech tree KV-2

2) The skin is not that "clowny" as it could get

3) You pay a hefty price for 0-perk crew and a tank with "premium tank benefits"

If someone wants to spend 28 EURs on a tech tree tank with some personal non game breaking benefits.... I couldn't care less.

And to be honest....WG has to make money....

a) They bring an overpowered premium everyone is crying "P2W - F* you WG"

b) They bring an underpowered premium everyone is crying "Why do I have to pay XX Euros for this crap tank - F* you WG"

c) They bring a 1:1 copy of a tech tree tank everyone is crying "Why do I have to pay XX Euros for a tech tree tank - F* you WG"

d) They bring "special skins" tanks everyone is crying "That's not historical - F* you WG"

So please let me know which premium tanks WG can release to make money which isn't upsetting the player base?

...

I think you summed this up pretty well in your post. As a Warhammer 40k fan who thinks that the KV-2 Ragnarok looks awesome I am the target audience for this offer. That might not be true for everyone though. You might not like Warhammer, or any other non-historical content for that matter (hint: you can turn it off in the settings), or you might like it, but you think that the price point is not right for you. That is perfectly fine, not every offer is for everyone. I think that it is a common misconception on the forums, that every single offer is meant to be a perfect fit for everyone. That is not the case.

Bottom line: If you like the tank+style and you think it is worth it for you for the price, then this is a great opportunity for you to get it and fight for the Emperor. If you don't like it, then there will be other offers in the future. And if you like W40K, but the price point of the KV-2 is too high for you, it might be worth looking at the BDR - Mordian style.

C'mon WG, tell GW to shove their royalties where the sun dont shine, lower the price for the standard packed to ~20 euros and reimburse those that bought it for GW inflated price (either in money or in gold). #walletclosedbutslowlytemptingmetoopen

Actually, so far if tanks were offered with a 0-skill crew, the crew didn't really affect the price level, but was a free addon. And the BDR example tells us the price of the skin at 10 euro, which matches the price difference of the tank and the bundle (KV-2 ® is listed at 4200 gold, so tank+garageslot would land at around 17 euro).

The issue is that the tank is bundled with an overpriced skin, even though back in 2016 we were promised that the "new premiums only as bundle" policy of 2015 would be disbanded (Jingles YT channel still has the video evidence). The Progetto was already a bundle-only offer again, but due to it being a marathon tank one could overlook the issue there.

Another minor issue I have with the tank is the naming scheme: The ® suffix so far was used for special event tanks e.g. in the rampage mode. Using it for a regular premium tank seems like a bad decision to me. Could have simply named it KV-2 Ragnarok (or would that violate the agreement with GW?).

To some extent yes but making it a cheap premium would I am sure boost the sales dramatically.

Some because of the crew some because of warhammer skin and others so they could spam more premium rounds.

Quite a few CCs are keen derpers and show the fun of owning a KV2, now wargaming has given them all one of these tanks there will be a lot of videos showcasing it.

The average demographic age for Warhammer players is between 12 and 18. Which possibly explains why everything is 'awesome' :teethhappy:

The price of the thing is off putting, it should be way lower, but then I have the KV2 to grind anyway so i could not justify having another, maybe if it had spaced armour or something.

But on the Asian server they have the new cent and the AC1 '[edited]' tank for £32.22, (fully trained crews as well) and the cent standard for £24.49, now those are prices i would pay as the seem worth it. Be interesting to see if we in the EU servers are charged more for the new cent?

KV 2 is an amazing tank, this is a copy paste with a different skin that some might like (I do, does not break the immersion but it's subjective). The KV - 2 R has a slight credit bonus and a crew training bonus, you pay the license price tag because is external IP.

But you can enjoy the same amazing Tank for free, I like it because I used to run food on kv 2 and this incarnation lose less credits, but is not a big deal. :coin:
