Seriously wg, just pay the "artistic" spas who made it so you can remove the map without him/her throwing a fit.

Or if you are being hostage by the same mad man, you can tell us by buffing russian tanks in the next patch for yes or nerfing 268 v4 for no.

Or you can learn how to play the map instead of just assuming that only the south matters.

I actually began to think the map is not terribad, but it needs to be larger by quite a bit - then it can be as enjoyable as Himmel's at least.

You seem to die in lights on he open part, or fight for corner where the heavies go, how else can you play this map?

Just remembered I think Lemming rush has a vid on this, going to check it out now.

Paris should stay...

its one of the few maps in the game that is heavy oriented, people who usualy complain alot about Paris tend to be Arty player wankers

or... light tank players.

We allready have a huge variety of maps that are oriented for fast tanks and arty, Paris is one of the few maps where armor makes more impact than mobility, deal with it...

its map for the armored vehicles to shine, you hate the same way Maus players hate prokorovka or Malinovka and so on...

Its ok we have a map like Paris, because its unique, all the streets are linked, and you can flank easly but at same time also be killed.

Its Paris...

There are plenty of maps with buildings and open fields where both options are fun and engaging. The field on this one seems pretty much impossible to advance on. I have yet to see anything important happen there. Just waiting for the big guys in the corner to decide the match.

I found that  the middle can play a signifcant role. Especially from east spawn. If you have a few players with some balls who dont mind their paint scratched as they cross the middle square, they can flank the heavies / take side shots. This forces some HTs to cover their rear, thus relieving the pressure on the HT vs HT battle, allowing your tieam to push. Lots of ifs, but if it works, it works.

Next time I have a good game on it, I will. To be successful, the whole map has to be used. You need heavies in the south, mediums (or lights are usually better) in the middle, and mediums in the north. TD's should cover north and the n/s centre-line. Arty in the north can hit the heavies in the south, if not successfully dislodged. There are much more interesting cover and crossfire opportunities in the north.

Contrary to conventional wisdom, I have the most trouble on this map either when the north is insufficiently covered, or if I am in a heavy.

And no, I am not a great player, but this map I feel like I understand.

Not only good games. Also bad ones and especially close ones so you can see the attempts on trying to compensate. What good does it do to post a game where you roflstomp the enemy team? Also not a game where you just go into the heavy brawl corner or the redlining in a TD for 15 minutes. Even a good player like Lemmingrush is having problems finding good spots. There are maybe 2-3 spots where you have some leverage but they are very risky and suicidal when nobody from your team helps you in those spots.

I find LR and Taugrim's vids quite informative as both do well in explaining their thought process. Hadnt seen this one yet, so thx :great:

I like the map. It's different and if you are patient you can really do well with your light or medium tanks. (Hint: Don't go to the field)

So basicly what you are saying, playing your light tank, you sit behind the bulding at wait for the teams to thin out? And hope your heavies dont Edited

FFS he says it himself, he gets lucky and gets to a position you die in 99 out 100 battles before 2 minutes have past.

paris mighty be intresting with the limitied viewranges of T1 tanks as those corridors would then be usable from both sides each allowing to flank through all streets compared to now where its impossible.

Yeah he said that but he isn't the type of player who just tells people to double tap 2 and distribute skill left and right.

I don't watch all wot streamers / YTers and when mainly for entertainment purposes and watch the featured games where i might be able to find a tactic i can adapt. LR on the other hand explains every step that even a tomato should be able to follow unless they are not interested in gitting gudder at the game.

Yeah, its terrible and should be removed. Then again, it's no longer the worst map in the game...so thats something.
