I wish someone would invent a social media platform that allows WG to communicate with its customers when there is an issue with the game. That would be so great :teethhappy:

Or perhaps they could set up a support page where it tells you when there are problems, what they are and how long they will last - just an idea

Something like this, right?

It's done, now if only someone could use it...

Yeah just like that - but perhaps with up to date info like when the servers are down, why and how long until they're up again - just a thought

That only works for actually* planned maintenance, not for unexpected downtimes where you're focused to actually find and fix the issue. And once the company knows what the issue is, servers are usually up within a short time, so little use of posting information that's only relevant for less than an hour.

* - The WoT Client will always say that the servers are down for "planned maintenance", even if they simply crashed.

It takes 30s to post a message saying "Sorry need to restart the servers" (that's how long it just took me to post this)

You're kidding, right? They have a twitter account, FFS! Trump can be there at 2am when taking a crap, but these guys can't post a short message during work hours?

Again, they have that. But no one uses it. Even a twitter account that posts info about server issues.

But... they don't post why or how long. As the why is usually not known all the time. And since the why is not always known, they can't post a when either. And if they do know why. They still won't post when. As if they did. There would be more raging about it not being up again when it's 5 min overdue, then when the server did first go down.

Hi guys!

We're currently experiencing some server-side issues. Please note that we are aware of this and that we're working on fixing it. :)

Cheers,

Kandly

This entire game is an SM platform, and we're on the receiving end :hiding:

You're over thinking and over compensating for WG

If its a restart (which it was earlier) then why not let people know?  We know that won't take too long.

If it's not, just say so - this isn't rocket science, it's good customer relationship

Hi guys,

First of all, please keep in mind that whenever there is something like this, I try to announce it as quickly as possible in the Announcements section, so you can always check there. We never post such stuff here in Gameplay.

Secondly, thank you for your feedback regarding our CS Twitter and CS portal. I can assure you that it has been forwarded and that we will look into ways of improving this type of communication with you. :)
