Stalin's Hammer or Boxtank. That is the question.

And no. I am not grinding the V4. Let's just say I want ISU drivers to get a taste of their own medicine.

I've owned the SU-122-44 twice and the accuracy's pants. I remember ammo racking a 59-16 from 250m while moving and on the move, but it would miserably fail to strike a heavy tank sitting at 100m with the sights closed and 100% crew + vents.

On the other hand, apart from the gun, the 100Y seems a lot like a meme and I've had it with paper tonks. Then again, Tier IX alpha damage on a Tier VI chassis, is juicy indeed. Plus I have enough gold for it.

Suggestions?

I find the SU-122-44 very good in tier 7 games, ok-ish in tier 8 and meh in tier 9. Probably because I like to play it on the frontline

Switching to HE regularly because of mediocre pen, doesn't do alot of dmg to armoured tanks...

I don't know about the box tank, but it seems rather campy gameplay to me.

Boxtank can be a lot of fun; those "BOOM! Headshot!" moments are a laugh (albeit not for the hapless low-tier victim). Its also surprisingly nimble and usable - it doesn't feel like you give away too much to get that gun.

Its always worth picking one up for your account.

SU-122-44 is more usable. Problems start when you have a tier 9 battle but you can always yolo a tier 9 heavy out of frustration and ruin his game like a...like me! :)

Wait boxtank a paper tank lolwut ?!?

Ok just realised paper-tank might mean poor armor instead of a product of serb's design bureau.

Funny replay for the SU-122-44. I don't wish those teams on any one. Thank god we managed to cap.

Neither, really. Wait for the ISU-122S that's coming again soon, with its insane DPM and Berlin crew. You're welcome.

Edit: nevermind, you want one from the tech tree. Personally, I'd get the tier 7. I own both and the 100Y rarely comes out of the garage.
